Right on the beach. Parking £8 per 24 hours. Manager of hotel lovely. Breakfast of good quality. Room dates but clean. We had twin beds which were quite narrow but not uncomfortable. Shower good. Overall a. Ice stay. Would book again.

I had such a lovely stay at The Exmouth Beach Hotel. The staff were incredibly kind and absolutely lovely. My room was spotless and the shower room clean. Breakfast was probably the best I’ve had in a very long time. The variety of food was incredible. This hotel is a little gem and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. A special thank you to the brilliant staff. Thank you 😊

Easy check-in, staff helpful and friendly. Good breakfast. Room kept clean, towels changed daily. Part of the hotel being refurbished with scaffolding on the frontage of the building, necessary but did not affect the view of the Esplanade and the estuary very much .

The staff were very helpful and nice. Breakfast was excellent. Our sea view room was wonderful but very warm in a heatwave! There was a small fan but the window didn't open far due to safety so we did need our own additional fans. Our only recommendation to the management would be to please sort out the shower. After a day on the beach a good shower with decent pressure and temperature control is essential. Also the shower screen was so small it was impossible to avoid water flooding the bathroom floor. Other than that we would definitely stay again.

Confusing on arriving with parking. Website advertised £6 per day and unable to reserve. On arrival parked in a space out front and informed we could not park there as all the front spaces were reserved by guests who had gone out for the day but would return. Were able to park out the back and charged £8. Arriving late that night the original space remained empty and still empty on leaving the next day. Still do not quite understand the unreserved but reserved parking situation.

I booked the hotel as it says that it had air conditioning. It doesn’t when i asked the staff they were rude and unhelpful. This is a rundown overpriced relic of a hotel. The gentleman on reception was the rudest person i have ever encountered. Avoid

Ingen aircondition her. Mye måleskrik når vinduet måtte stå åpent og vifta i full sving for å ha mulighet for å sove. Ble en dårlig opplevelse når søvnen ikke strekker til. Personalet var veldig hyggelige.

Don’t stay here if you have a baby. Despite having given the hotel the age of my young baby prior to our arrival, and obviously having a pram when we checked in, the first room we were given was down a narrow flight of stairs which was very difficult to carry a pram up/down safely. We complained and were initially told to leave the pram outside reception. I pointed out that would mean we may have to carry a lot of things up and down the stairs whilst carrying a baby also- not safe. They then gave us a “more accessible” room which was up a set of 4 steps. The travel cot they provided did not have a base, and instead they had folded up a duvet at the bottom and balanced the mattress on top. I complained and they found the base fairly quickly, but did not have an appropriate sheet for the travel mattress. Instead they had used a flat sheet from a double bed folded up around the mattress. When I highlighted that this does not follow NHS safe sleep guidelines in the UK the manager argued with me, and tried to tell me we would be fine even after I told him this is a SIDS risk as the baby could pull the sheets loose, which can be a suffocation risk. The manager then tried to persuade me that the outer layer of the mattress itself counted as a fitted sheet. They were unable/unwilling to resolve the problem beyond this, and we had to go out the next day to buy an appropriate bed sheet. The staff was great, but the property needs some work. Our “bay view” was covered by scaffolding and absolutely filthy windows. Carpets were really shabby and the floorboards all creaked and were lumpy.

We had a lovely stay at the Exmouth Beach Hotel. They were kind enough to accommodate an early check in for us, which we really appreciated. We booked a room with a sea view and it was absolutely beautiful. The location is perfect, so close to the beach and an easy walk to local shops and restaurants. The room itself felt a little bit dated, but it was still perfectly okay and comfortable for our stay. Would recommend for the location and views!

Glad I didn’t reserve parking at the hotel, would not have wanted to contend with it. Very narrow spaces and area. Hotel itself very run down/grubby. Stained carpets and marked walls. Bedding appeared clean but strange, salty smell to pillow cases. Room would have benefited from a fan, was very warm. Breakfast was ok. Staff friendly but not enough to compensate for other things mentioned.

Our room was clean and spacious, comfy beds and decent shower, staff were helpful and friendly, we didn't have breakfast, the bar didn't seem to be used much, Hotel is very close for town, pubs, cafes and restaurants
