Hampton by Hilton Blackburn

Very comfortable bed and reasonably priced

This hotel is on a service park and rather isolated but near a major road junction. Receptionist very friendly and helpful. Our accessible room was ok, clean but sparsely furnished. The hotel felt rather soulless. Breakfast was supposed to be available until 10am. We arrived at 9.30 most of the hot items were missing and not replaced. There was nobody around to ask for replacements. Very disappointing. I must say that our previous stay at this hotel was much better.

The room was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly. The room next door sounded loud in the corridor but you couldn’t hear anything once in your own room so the stay was great.

The free parking plenty of space and the convenient of shops for food around the Area

New facilities, clean and functional. Room cleaning service was hit and miss. Had to call twice to get room cleaned. Breakfast was basic and food options were limited. Shower room door lock was fiddly and caused my wife’s nails to break.

Very efficient,warm and friendly staff

My DD went into the shower but the plug hole had some sort of blockage, water seeped out from under and the door side. It was about 6 cm deep. She couldn't open the door as room would have flooded. The phone in the room was not plugged in as no socket. I ended up going down. Someone came but was like I can't go in there. Room was changed as DD was still wet and needed to wash products of. They had to split up so both girls had to go in one room, twin and I into another. Upon check out not even asked if stay was good as it said 100% satisfaction guaranteed which it clearly was not. Just took the keys, no eye contact as staff had been told issue with the room. Not even a Good morning. Rudeness. Caused issue for my DD so was up a fair bit into the night with her. Don't stay there. Also emailed them but no response

Lovely hotel, not much nearby to be honest, taxi Into Accrington or Darwen is only 10 minutes away, where there are great pubs and restaurants.

Room was very very dusty and the shower was dirty with limescale, we arrived and straight away got stuck in the toilet in the room due to a known fault, maintenance were quick to arrive and get the door open, said they would fix it the next day but didn’t. The buffet breakfast was ok but food was not replenished quickly at all and plates were dirty as well as the cups. Staff were pleasant enough and the room was sufficient, comfy bed and good wee fridge, air conditioning was good also. Plenty parking available too.

Lovely, lovely place. Will stay here again happily when next in Blackburn. Clean, new, great rooms, good beds.. pretty good breakfast in all honesty! Esp as it’s free.

Hotel was new,the rooms are fantastic

The food area for breakfast was bad because everyone was coming at the same time and the food was not coming out fast enough. And rude waiting staff Bed was comfortable

Convenient and staff are friendly

Love stopping at Hampton hotels and this was great.

I recently travelled to Preston to attend my master’s degree graduation ceremony with my daughters . We spent one night in an apartment somewhere in Preston. This apartment was booked on another platform. We left earlier than scheduled,because we didn’t like the place . Fortunately.i visited Hotel.com in our desperation to leave the apartment due to its filthy state ,and thank God that there was an available room at Hampton by Hilton . It was indeed a great experience! Marcella’s hospitality was top notch . She made us feel at home . She ensured that we were we happy during our stay Another staff called Fatima was extremely pleasant and hospitable. She was happy to help whenever we needed it. However, a particular female staff was somewhat rude and dismissive. Overall , it was a pleasant experience and I look forward to staying in this hotel in future.

I had a great stay at the Hampton by Hilton. My room was excellent, it had great facilities such as air con, a SMEG fridge and kettle and a seating area in the room which was good. I liked the floor to ceiling window over looking the lake but it could do with a clean. The breakfast wasn’t great, there was no cutlery, the juice machine was “Out of order”, there were no sausages left and the bacon seemed steamed. I fellow guest was complaining about the pastry selection and the chef said their oven had been broken for over three weeks. If the breakfast issues not have occurred I would have give the hotel a top rating.

The lounge is nice. The shower was blocked in our room and it was a bit disgusting with bits coming out of it

The hotel is modern with reasonable facilities and the rooms are comfortable. Breakfast on this occaision was especially poor. The buffet was extremely poorly maintained, there were no pastries or croissants, no fruit. The hot food was not restocked, as vegetarians the menu is already limited, poor quality scrambled eggs, no tomatoes beans or mushrooms and the potatoes were cold. There was a clear absence of staff. In the past vegetarian sausages were offered.Tables are not cleared away. Staff should be visible during breakfast to ensure the buffet is stocked. The defence will no doubt be, it's a free breakfast, but the costs are of course covered by what is charged in the room rate.
