The Stag Enfield

This place should be closed for health and safety reasons. The bathroom window was missing glass, and despite calling the emergency number provided, there was no response at all. There was zero communication. It was –6°C outside, and both the bathroom and room were freezing cold. The property was extremely dirty and unsafe: pubic hair everywhere, a ruined carpet, and an old bed with springs coming through the mattress. It was the longest night ever, and there was no possibility of receiving a full refund.

Room double booked despite the booking 2 months in advance. This was apparently due to the existing residents extending their stay. No communication of this and was even able to enter the room as was sent check in information. Really poor.

The bed was broken (sunk in the middle of the bed) tv lost service every 5 minutes, there’s no1 to talk to, the place was a complete shambles. The only good thing was the room was clean.

Awful customer service , rude manager

The manager is an absolute 🔔 end. I wouldn’t stay there again ever , no secured outside gate so anyone can gain access to the rooms inside the hotel , absolutely appalling

The room was not cleaned sheets not changed even the towels not changed just folded terrible didnt stay but still paid unbelievable

I didn’t stay. I was appalled at the bedding and the bathroom door off its hinges. So disgusting I left immediately and don’t have photos to upload

The property was not properly cleaned. The door code I was given did not work. The staff was difficult to contact and some of the posted phone numbers of the staff were not correct. The staff was not very helpful or accommodating.

Pros: Close to restaurants and stores Cons: Unsafe, no lock on gate, room is unsanitary, no staff, bathroom dirty, very hot shower and there was no way to control it.

Location was fabulous but accommodation its self was very run down cardboard on the ceiling which had a hole no lights in the corridor windows broken in rooms very noisy with no double glazed to drown it out from pub below or traffic

This is a last resort place to stay, not worth the cost. The front gate wasn’t secure, there was no way to lock or bolt the door from inside. The bed bases were very stained and torn, the mattresses cheap, the single pillow thin, a pane of glass was broken and the communal hallway smelt of urine and cigarette smoke. The bathroom was slightly cleaner than the one in my student child’s shared house. The downside was the 3am shouting, door banging and key code failing, of the two other guests who eventually combined their 2 brain cells and worked out how to get into their room 90 minutes later after trying our door several times. The shower worked though.

There was nothing there. Bar was closed No one answered the phone or text messages. The otter lock is not there just a code pad for show Bed was uncomfortable and you could feel the wooden slates on the bed frame. Window sash was cut, overall very uncomfortable a Nd not impressed

Room was very hot, could’ve done with a fan as having the windows open was extremely noisy. Got woken up by bus garage being directly outside. This could’ve been avoided if a fan was available in the room. Room was a little dirty, dust everywhere and walls had marks up them. Bins hadn’t been emptied.

Ok stay

Location was Ok. General condition was poor. Blinds on the window that do not block out the light at all. Not great during the summer. Blind in the bathroom was a def health hazard

Was quick flying visit just overnight for a concert. Room had no hot water on arrival or in the morning. No one we could get hold of either. Tiny room and uncomfortable bed and pillows.

Check in was excellent but the room is very very dirty even the containers are not empty full of rubbish not good at all
