I had an excellent stay at the Hobo Hotel in Helsinki. The rooms are surprisingly spacious, giving you plenty of room to spread out and settle in — a rare treat for a city‑center hotel. Everything was spotless from the moment I walked in, and the cleanliness stayed consistent throughout my stay.
The staff deserves a special shout‑out. Every interaction, from check‑in to passing them in the halls during the day, was warm, positive, and genuinely welcoming. They set the tone for a great experience.
Make sure you carve out time to enjoy the Hobo Bar in the lobby. The atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming, and the food and drinks were truly stellar — far better than your typical hotel bar offerings.
Another bonus: the hotel sits right across from the iconic Fazer Café. Trust me, you’ll find yourself wandering over more than once for pastries, coffee, or a quick treat.
Overall, Hobo Hotel delivers comfort, style, and great hospitality in the heart of Helsinki. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city.

Sehr zentral und praktisch gelegen, super Frühstücks-Buffet.
Leider war das Zimmer etwas klein und die Dusche umständlich (Wasser läuft raus, kein Platz für Shampooflaschen - nicht mal das Hotel-eigene..).

Nice boutique hotel that was comfy and enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. Like the bar downstairs. Wasn't able to enjoy breakfast as I left very early in the morning.

Quarto ok. Não há sequer térmica para esquentar água ou oferecimento de chá ou sachês de chocolate, que achamos normalmente em outros hotéis. Entramos somente às 15 hs pontualmente, não tendo sido ofertado pra nós um check-in antecipado., o que nos fez esperar mais de 4 horas.

Everything was awesome? That's lovely but isn’t helpful, right? The rooms were well appointed and trendy. The sort of thing that looks amazing if well-maintained. I look forward to many future stays at this property and hope that the natty design remains poopin fresh.
As for the staff: hearts of goodness, each one of them. I'm sure they deal with all forms of kind to crazy. They were truly gracious hosts at each interaction.
The bathroom is a dream. The entryway into my room was the size of many hotel rooms I've had in Japan. It made winter dressing and disrobing, a thankless sport, easier than what I experience at home. The open shelving and hanger situation is also a bit of genius allowing damp togs to dry and also allowing for visual organization and space to repack as items lose situational relevance during planned activities. I loved the desk window area, but spent no time using them because OUTSIDE was the reason to be in town.
I hope to plan more downtime into my next stay so I can take advantage of the well-appointed room, comfy bed, and shiny digs near many fun social eateries and activities.
