This was our first stop on our honey moon ring road trip. The hotel was fantastic & the staff were incredible. They were able to accommodate an early check in for us luckily, and they even gave us a cute little hand written card & sweet treat to help us celebrate our honeymoon. We will keep this card for years to come as part of a memory of our special honeymoon trip. Thank you Hotel Midgard for being a part of our celebration ❤️

The guest relations check in personnel were extremely helpful in accepting our luggage very early and expediting the availability of our room plus giving us recommendations on places to eat and sights to see. The staff were exceptional. The room was ample and well appointed, but please be aware there is no air conditioning. However, a fan is provided. In addition, the staff arranged a taxi for us to travel to the bus terminal and made it a point to advise that coffee and breakfast items were available to take away. Furthermore, the hotel is in the hub of the city which makes it easy to navigate and walk to several major sites. Overall, it was an outstanding experience!

It was a perfect choice. Great location with comfortable bed. We traveled the city for two days coming back to have a drink and appetizers for our supper. I would stay here again. The only down side is their lack of free parking. We were fortunate to find it in the rear of the hotel.

Good location, close to bus stop 13 for tours. Breakfast was good but wish there was more variety or change what was served each day. Room and bathroom was good size for two people. Didn’t have the opportunity to try their spa although use was included in our room.

Das Zimmer war schön groß und sauber. Wir hatten ausreichend Platz und wurden sogar mit einer kleinen Süßigkeit auf dem Zimmer empfangen. Es gab einen Wasserkocher sowie Tee- und Kaffeebeutel. Wir hatten weder Frühstück noch Abendessen dort, somit kann ich dies nicht bewerten.

I bagni sono provvisti di un antibagno con lavandino e di una camera con doccia e wc. Forse il solo posto al mondo dove devi aspettare per fare uscire dai rubinetti l’acqua calda. Il parcheggio è invece inesistente: cinque posti auto appena su strada; difficile trovarli liberi (nei dintorni ci sono ampie aree in cui non è previsto il pedaggio).

The staff here were really friendly and helpful, and the breakfast and spa were both great. There were definitely parts of the stay we enjoyed. That said, overall the hotel felt more like a 3-star experience than what we were expecting for the price. We paid extra for the “upgraded” rooms, but they still felt a bit rough around the edges and not especially updated. The biggest downside was the construction happening directly outside our room basically all day. It was really loud, and we were surprised there wasn’t any heads up about it before arriving. You could even hear the construction noise from the spa, which took away from the whole relaxing atmosphere. The location also wasn’t our favourite. It’s a bit farther from the city centre, and the main street nearby is mostly tourist souvenir shops. Overall, not a bad stay, and the staff were genuinely lovely, but it didn’t quite feel worth the price for us.

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is quiet, nice, modern and clean. The staff prepared some sweets for us to celebrate our 35th anniversary, which is very heart warming! Thank you hotel team! Bed is comfortable. Bathroom is a bit small. Be careful when using the glass door, make sure it is closed the right way. The food at the restaurant "Jorgensen" is excellent. Arctic Char and Lamb sirloin are great.

The biggest downside was the construction happening directly outside our room basically all day. It was really loud, and we were surprised there wasn’t any heads up about it before arriving. You could even hear the construction noise from the spa, which took away from the whole relaxing atmosphere. The location also wasn’t our favourite. It’s a bit farther from the city centre, and the main street nearby is mostly tourist souvenir shops. Overall, not a bad stay, and the staff were genuinely lovely, but it didn’t quite feel worth the price for us.

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is quiet, nice, modern and clean. The staff prepared some sweets for us to celebrate our 35th anniversary, which is very heart warming! Thank you hotel team! Bed is comfortable. Bathroom is a bit small. Be careful when using the glass door, make sure it is closed the right way. The food at the restaurant "Jorgensen" is excellent. Arctic Char and Lamb sirloin are great.
