We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Spadai in Florence. The location is perfect—just steps from the Duomo, making it incredibly easy to explore the city. The hotel itself is beautiful, modern, and spotlessly clean, with very comfortable rooms and thoughtful touches throughout. The staff were exceptional warm, welcoming, and always happy to help with recommendations or anything we needed. If you’re visiting Florence, I would highly recommend Hotel Spadai. We would definitely stay here again! We booked the smallest room with no breakfast. The room size is very generous!!

The room is clean and spacious, but the corridor and bathroom sometimes have a bit of smell, maybe due to air ventilation issue. Location, staff, and breakfast were incredible. Great value due to it being the offseason. Very clean and safe. Only issue was the bed and pillows weren’t that comfortable but that could have been a personal preference. Highly recommend this hotel.

Rooms are small, but clean. The location is also very central. The issue is the staff. They have a lazy, unfriendly attitude. At no point do they greet you. They don’t even look up from squatting behind their computer screens. You’ll have to wait for 1-2 minutes just standing there and then loudly greet them. This happened to us our entire stay. Also forget about asking for a late checkout. They will swear they’re “fully booked for tomorrow” (even though you can book a room for tomorrow online). Classically unhelpful, and really only interested in your money. Everything is about money for them. For example: I stopped by the front desk, and after being ignored (yet again), I said I need to book a massage. The response from the guy was “yah but you have to pay ok?” In what world is a hotel massage free?! See what I mean? Minima wffort, no common sense or manners, and all about the money. Not a good feeling at all and to be honest, there’s better hotel game in town (we visit Europe several times a year and there’s at least 3-5 hotels I can think of near here with better experiences for guests). This would not be a repeat for us.

Rooms are small, but clean. The location is also very central. The issue is the staff. They have a lazy, unfriendly attitude. At no point do they greet you. They don’t even look up from squatting behind their computer screens. You’ll have to wait for 1-2 minutes just standing there and then loudly greet them. This happened to us our entire stay. Also forget about asking for a late checkout. They will swear they’re “fully booked for tomorrow” (even though you can book a room for tomorrow online). Classically unhelpful, and really only interested in your money. Everything is about money for them. For example: I stopped by the front desk, and after being ignored (yet again), I said I need to book a massage. The response from the guy was “yah but you have to pay ok?” In what world is a hotel massage free?! See what I mean? Minima wffort, no common sense or manners, and all about the money. Not a good feeling at all and to be honest, there’s better hotel game in town (we visit Europe several times a year and there’s at least 3-5 hotels I can think of near here with better experiences for guests). This would not be a repeat for us.
