Gion Shinmonso

Great location, awesome breakfast, very clean. Train station near by. Would stay here again, although a little pricey

wifiが繋がらなかったこと、お部屋のトイレが非常に狭かったこと、アメニティが不十分だったことなどが残念でしたが、スタッフの対応は丁寧でしたし、立地はとても良かったです。

객실도 깨끗했고 객실키도 비번이라는점이 편함 직원분들도 친절하셨음 하지만 새벽에 창문을 뚫고 들어오는 소음이 너무 시끄러웠으며 객실 내에 샤워시설이 없고 대욕장이 따로 있어서 그런건지 아니면 료칸스타일이라 그런건지 어메니티가 없는게 많았음 가깝지는 않지만 기차역 버스정거장 전부 걸어서 해결 가능한 거리였고 근처에 편의점도 있었음

Beautiful location with an excellent staff

Very cute. Good location, amenities in the room were lacking.., but there was no shower in our room. The staff could have communicated better. And when we booked it we didn’t completely understand that the breakfast was only Japanese, was very limiting to us. But that’s not really their fault. The futon/beds were incredibly comfortable even magical. The location is perfect in Gion. So easy to go out and walk around. Very reasonably priced for a ryokan I. Kyoto.

A beautiful Ryokan located in a tranquil part of Gion. Quiet location surrounded by sakura and the canal.

The room and hotel in general were immaculate and beautifully designed. Added benefits go to the superb staff, location, and room amenities.

Nice traditional hotel. Fortunately we had a shower in our room but it sounds like not all rooms provide one. Room is kind of small for 3 people.

Fin placering - god onsen. Lidt skrabede værelser.

Kyoto is a beautiful city!

Great and welcoming staff, clean rooms, and awesome onsen and shower area. The futons on the floor were comfortable, could use slightly more padding tho but still slept very well. Overall I’d give this a 9.5/10. Also great location

Very comfortable ryokan, the futons were comfortable and the the rooms were clean. We stayed in wakanae room and had our own private bathroom and shower. Outside hotel was quiet and not busy and within 5-10 minute walk from downtown Kyoto. 1 block from a family mart and so many restaurants. Also with 5 minutes to shopping area in Gion district.

Would definitely return. My young children have enjoyed have enjoyed the onsen

Hotel is located within walking distance to all the attractions and train/bus stations. Rooms are spacious and unique. No personal showers in room. Only toilet and sink.

It was amazing! I had reached out to see if we could drop off our luggage before check in to store at the hotel (instead of at a coin locker) and they let us! It was really convenient, and they were very kind about letting us do so. We essentially checked in early (we didn’t go to the room though), and when we actually went to check in they let us know that they stored our luggage in our room so it was already there waiting for us. Overall amazing! The only downside (which really isn’t one) is that I am a side sleeper and find futons to be a little harder for me to sleep on, but honestly the futons were super comfortable and the person I traveled with (who is a back sleeper) slept amazing on it and didn’t even snore! The bath was so comfortable and warm it made the whole experience so much better! Would love to go back to the hotel again! We loved that the rooms all had names and they weren’t by number, it made everything feel more personal and fun.
