Fantastic hotel
Great value for money. Very helpful and friendly staff. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast really good choice with option to get omelette,cooked eggs etc. Pool area lovely with snacks and drinks. Staff bend over backwards to help. 5 mins walk to Times Square Mall. Only downside of area for us personally was that couldn't find anywhere that would sell wine in the vicinity. However could buy wine in hotel. Wouldn't hesitate in going back.

Good 5 nights stay at Mercure, but wish could have better
First time at this hotel but this is the longest I stayed in a member hotel under Accor Hotels group. Overall, it was good, but how I wish it could have been better. Please see my detailed review as always; a. Check-in/out --> It was actually a rushed booking, i think i made it around 1am the same day but via online booking. The hotel was not included under Online check-in function hence, I need to undergo the normal check in process. At that day, I did not see a dedicated table/lane for Accor hotel member (i saw a carpet with accor hotel logo during my check out) hence proceeded to the first table on the left and Kayson helped me with the check-in process. He was also able to explain to me the new law for foreigners for the Tourism tax of 10 MYR per night. I was about to leave the reception but then I remembered he forgot to give me a welcome drink voucher. He apologized and noted that since the booking was made on the same day hence, they were not able to prepare for it. Same thing with the welcome treat (fruits/sweets), they were not prepared on time, but were delivered soon within the day. As for check out, I do not have any issue and was able to complete it within 10 mins. b. Place --> the hotel is pretty much close with the city center, approx 3km from Petronas Towers and 1km from Bukit Bintang for shoppping malls/centers. Around the hotel, there are a lot of convenience stores and hawkers. c. Transportation -> you have option either to take trains or book a grab/uber. I chose the latter as I found it cheap and more convenient, considering I have a backpack and one luggage to carry. On the other hand, if you are a light traveller, you may opt for the Express train, and make your way to connect and transfer to Imbi station which is the nearest station to the hotel, but you need to walk for less than a km. d. Room --> I booked for the cheapest room, and landed with a deluxe room with twin single beds (since there is no more queen bed available). The beds were comfortable as well as the pillows.The views are good but would have been better if the hotel was facing the city center with KL and Petronas towers. Bathroom is also good and a few but good selection of channels for the TV. e. Facilities --> the hotel has business center, swimming pool, gym and bar at the roof top. Was able to make use of the gym with a good decent size and also used my welcome drink at the pool bar. They also offered a free shuttle service going to Central Market and Bukit Bintang on 2 separate timings, which can be a good option if you are not in a hurry and have a flexible sked. f. Price --> good for its category and i think it is worth it. g. Food --> I stayed for 5 nights and was able to take my 4 breakfast as part of the package. I skipped 1 breakfast as I want to reach the airport early since travel time will take almost an hour from hotel. The food was generally okay, but I really wished there were more varieties. On the other hand, I also availed of their room service and was able to taste some of their recommended items. I love the chiken wings with fries, spaghetti bolognese and the nasi lemak. h. Staff -> generally okay but i think they can still be more proactive. There were no language barrier as English is widely used. The staff for room service were all warm and served with a smile, though, I was too unlucky or what, that every time I call on their designated button on the phone, it is always busy, hence, ended up calling the operator to transfer my call. Housekeeping are also good and efficient with their tasks. i. Security --> overall good and felt secured within the premises. The key card is also required to operate the lift to reach your destination. Also during late hours, the auto-swing doors at the lobby are turned off and a single door is the only way to enter via using your key card, which is one good way of securing the hotel with outsiders. Overall, I was satisfied but I felt there were some expectations that I wish I was able to experienced during my stay with the hotel. Thanks again for being my temporary home while at KL.

Deluxe with bathtub, Stylist exterior, interior needs improvement
The big plus is the hotel have many connecting rooms. They really gave us connecting room guarantee when we requested, unlike other hotels which says "requests are subjected to room availability at the point of check in". Booked 2 rooms. Exterior 4.5*, was going to give 5* review on tripadvisor. However, rooms disappointment. Hotel gives a very stingy impression. Such as Parking not complementary, room card is just plain white (no design), notepad in room was smaller than my mobile phone size, Pen quality was bad (ink flow not smooth), encourage guest to reuse the same towel throughout their stay, centralized aircon system (need wait 20min to have aircon), in-house dining menu in black white. Request 1220pm check out, staff says 12pm, finally negotiate to 1215pm. For hotel guest, breakfast is 35myr nett each person. For hotel guest, you can enjoy discount if you dine in at their restoran at level 8. Below are my observations from staying at the hotel : Room Note: For queen bed room the sofa is longer. For 2twin bed room the sofa is smaller. +carpeted floor +Big plasma television and tv list +4 universal sockets +Fast wifi +Modern and classic room like novotel 23m2 +office chair +big table to do work +safebox got lights good +small glass table to have a meal +4 pillows (beds were comfortable) +many lights in the room -Channels limited. No CNA or HBO or carton network. Only Fox movie, natgeo, local channels. -Air-con is centralized, need wait 20min to cool -No remote control for air-con -Room 1008 connecting room was faulty. Have to call technician to fix 15 minutes. -If you stay in connecting room, you dint lock your door, the other party can push to open your door -hotel room card one is printed with hotel name, one is just plain. Looks low class, should have standardized the card design. -No door stopper -Opening door no rubber magnet behind -Pen quality lousy - ink flow not smooth -No tissue box in living room (only bathroom) Bathroom +big mirror +sensor light on the mirror (very interesting) +bidet. But pressure was low. +toilet flush strong +have toothpaste and toothbrush +3 towels. Body. Face. +sufficient area to place shower items -no shower curtain (after using handheld shower, floor very wet, dangerous) -Bath set (shampoo, shower) only one. Should give two -Room 1009 bathtub water temperature was super bad. Tilt abit from the blue color side, the water is already super warm. If u tilt almost reach the mid,the temp is about ready to cook an egg. Lobby/Staff +nice wallpaper on the wall +Looks clean and very classy wand stylish +stylish lobby with sufficient sofa +3 lift fast +carpeted floor +Card access to room level -Have to walk one round from hotel entrance to lift -Room 1003 no bathtub, both staff says system mentioned there is bathtub. Seems their system updated wrongly. Location +7min walk to Times Square. Better to grab at 4myr. Walk on the street is dangerous. Local friends said you can walk halfway, people riding on motorbike could just snatch your bag or mobile phone away. +7min walk to Imbi monorail station Grab to KL Sentral is 7myr, to Mid valley is 9myr, to Lot 10 Pavilion is 7myr +Grab to airport for 86myr, took us 40minutes . Else take cab to kl Sentral, then take aerobus 12myr each person to airport at 12myr each. Facilities +Gym with few machines +Small rooftop swimming pool My personal review: Hotel Ground (Lobby, reception): 7.75 (when walking towards hotel staff to go to the lift, would be good if the staff can give a smile if they are not doing anything, but that was bonus though) Staff (Knowledge, helpful, friendly): 7.5 Room (Design layout, amenities, bed): 7.45 Bathroom (Water pressure, design): 8.0 (liked the design, water way too hot) Location (Surroundings, mall): 6.75 Facilities: 7.5 Price vs Quality: 6.0 Service: 6.5 Bonus: -5 (1st room no bathtub, 2nd room connecting door faulty, bathroom water can boil an egg) Service Recovery: 8.5 (Email hotel, they promised a better experience the next stay) Total: 60.95/100

Comfortable bed with good location
Overall is good and worth for the amount that you paid. One thing which a little bit disappointed which is I request to check out late at 1pm but counter staff rejected. So I was get stunned. Hilton Group hotel surely will allowed.

I have 2 saperate booking, i paid in advance for my extention stay and i even approach counter to inform then again but still they knock my room and ask me to check out! Unacceptable from 1 of accor property!
