Beautiful setting overlooking the ocean and Zipolite. Easy walking access into town and to the beach. Very comfortable room with many options for storing or placing belongings. Nice pool with a spacious area for sitting or lounging. The staff was always helpful and the property is very well maintained.

Casa Kal Mar exceeded expectations. The decor felt so natural and perfect for the setting and the whole place was well kept and spotless. The views were stunning, the breakfasts delicious, and the staff was kind and interactive. Sylvia assisted with bookings for whale watching, massages and transport and had great restaurant recommendations as well. Highly recommend.

This property has the absolute best view in Zipolite.
You step outside your room onto the large terrace with an infinity pool and have 180 degree views of the landscape. It was so magical to take morning coffees there and watch the sunrise and people strolling on the beach below.
The brakfast was lovely, room was very clean, honesty bar very well stocked. Sylvia and the whole team at Casa Kalmar were delightful, helpful but not intrusive.
The only thing I would say the main cleaning lady could use some manners as she was very eager to clean my room while I had a visitor and I repeatedly told her not to disturb and it wasn't cute!
What is good about this property is it is a little bit further away from all the happening in the main part of the town, so it is very quiet, but you can also be directly on the beach in less than five minutes.
When (not if) I come back to Zipolite, I would love to stay here again!

This place is absolutely Beautiful and you can walk to restaurants and the beach. The service was amazing and the people very kind. I wish I had reserved more nights instead of moving to another hotel just be in the same place with my friends. Definitely recommend it and will definitely be back to stay again.

The staff really made this place an easy 5 stars. The manager Sylvia was kind and informative and the breakfasts were phenomenal. The property is a bit of a hike but the view was truly unforgettable. The property is well looked after and the pool was beautiful. The rooms were clean and comfy. We hope to return one day...asap!

Casa Kal Mar is amazing. You arrive and walk out to the infinity pool and unobstructed 180 degree views of the ocean and the beaches and town below. We loved Casa Kal Mar. We spent a lot of our time there. We could lounge around, or go down to the beaches and the towns in the area, and come back to our little Casa Kal Mar retreat and soak in the pool or lounge around. Very laid back perfect home base. We LOVED IT! We can't wait to come back! And the staff were all very nice and helpful!

There are not enough superlatives to describe Casa Kalmar. The property is beautiful. The view is divine. The breakfast is plentiful: fruit yogurt and granola to start then fresh cooked hot food. The staff will do anything for you. We had the top floor room that was spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend. The cats and dog were good company. It was perfect. As seasoned world travellers this place is now in our top five best accommodations list. Don't think twice it's all right.

Casa Kel Mar is an excellent place to stay, we rented the top floor and it was amazing. Beautiful ocean views, beautiful sunrise and also beautiful sunset all from the top deck. Staff is amazing and always helpful. You can walk to town in about 15 minutes, just be prepared to walk up over 200 steps! Worth it!
