HOTEL LUCA

We were so disappointed in this hotel. First, the positive: location was good, desk staff nice enough, and room was cleaned well. Now, the bad: (1) room was like a cheap motel. Cold floors, not a single closet or drawer in sight, making it impossible to put clothes or even toiletries anywhere. (2) everything was falling apart and cheap…Cheap lamps, cheap toiletries, towels fraying, no robes or slippers which was needed with the cold tiles (3) price was deserving of a nice hotel…the park view was a view of an awning on first floor so we couldn’t even open blinds. So disappointed. Deserved so much nicer since we shelled out for this highly rated over hyped motel.

We really liked our stay at Hotel Luca. The best feature was the included, excellent little breakfast on the 5th floor terrace that comes with coffee, juice, fresh fruit, and great chilaquiles (or great pancakes if you prefer). It's a nice way to start a day exploring the city. The location is central. In addition to being in the middle of the Roma area and near dozens of good restaurants and cafes, you can also walk to Condessa and the park/museum, and to Centro. The room was clean and housekeeping staff kept it tidy during our stay. The bed was comfy. Check in was smooth and the staff are all really friendly. The downstairs coffee shop is also really good to have on hand.

The hotel was nice. Small boutique hotel with excellent sized rooms. Comfortable bedding. Modern bathroom. My only complaint was with the breakfast. There were only specific things on the menu that were complimentary and the waiter was not clear about the items until the “bill” came. He could have been more transparent about what was included and what was additional. Beware and ask questions

Clean Room, Nice

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Luca, especially because of its great location. It was very easy to walk to nearby restaurants, shops, and explore the area. Check-in and check-out were simple and went smoothly. We did ask for a late check-out, but were told it would require a half-day charge, even though we were only requesting one additional hour. That was disappointing, as this hasn’t been our experience at other hotels. There were also a few basic amenities we were surprised were not available, such as an iron and ironing board, an ice machine, and access to streaming services like Netflix or Hulu. These are small things, but for the price, we expected them to be included. We were also not informed about the complimentary breakfast during our stay and only learned about it after we had already checked out on our last day. Overall, the stay was nice, but for the cost, we expected a bit more in terms of amenities and clearer communication.

Very happy with our stay. Appreciated great location, supportive staff, large and quiet rooms. Bathroom lighting was terrible (note, ladies) but enough natural light from main windows. Housekeeping did great job. Recommended venue for an independent traveller.

Location is fantastic, cleanliness of room and quiet, excellent breakfast on rooftop with outstanding pleasant servers. Hotel entrance is shared with an excellent coffee shop and across from a small park.

I was put off by the strange lobby/ check in. With the price I was expecting a proper hotel lobby and reception. The staff themselves were helpful and accomodating, but did not explain the amenities very well. We did not know until the following day that there was a terrace with a bar. The room itself was large and very clean. The bed was reasonably comfortable.
