Lovely hotel in a great neighborhood just a couple blocks off the Vondel Park. Staff was excellent and really helpful with recommendations. Room was excellent, bed was comfy and the bathroom was spacious. Stairs are a little steep, but that seems to be the norm in Amsterdam. Only thing I'd add to my wishlist would be a mini-fridge. Otherwise, great place to stay!!!

Lovely hotel in a great neighborhood just a couple blocks off the Vondel Park. Staff was excellent and really helpful with recommendations. Room was excellent, bed was comfy and the bathroom was spacious. Stairs are a little steep, but that seems to be the norm in Amsterdam. Only thing I'd add to my wishlist would be a mini-fridge. Otherwise, great place to stay!!!

Inconvenience of opening the door of the bathroom, because clashing with the bed, which stood right next to the door. For people weighing more than 60+, it is hard to squeeze through. The safe did not work and, according to the administrator, it has not been working for a long time. The reason why it is there is not clear. The only window overlooked the courtyard of the adjacent house and at night there was noise from the residents celebrating loudly. They prevented us from getting enough sleep. Cobwebs hang on the chandeliers like garlands. Dust is everywhere, deep cleaning is required. At the beginning there were problems with the Internet connection (Wi-Fi did not work). The administrator was rude saying that it was fault of our phone models (we had iPhones), but it turned out that the reason was a malfunction of the Hotel router. Dimitry, a professional in his field, helped us to solve the problem and resolve the issue with the WiFi connection.

Das Zimmer war leider sehr klein und zudem sehr hellhörig, sodass man viel von den Nachbarn mitbekam. Im Zimmer gab es keinen Kühlschrank. Direkt nach dem Einchecken hatten wir außerdem einen Stromausfall und mussten fast eine Stunde warten, bis die Sicherung gefunden und das Problem behoben wurde. Personal war zwar bemüht, aber insgesamt eher enttäuschender Aufenthalt.

Hotel is fine for the cost and location and if you are just using it as a place to sleep. Single beds very narrow and soft, walls very thin so can hear people in adjacent room. No aircon (was there during heatwave, unfortunately). But it’s reasonably priced and you get what you pay for. If you want a nice hotel near the centre you have to pay much more, or pay the same and stay much further out.

Bij aankomst om 12 uur konden we al inchecken, alleen nog niet naar de kamer. De bagage konden we achterlaten in het ontbijthoekje, onbeveiligd.. de lobby zag er netjes uit. De trap naar de kamers is smal en stijl. De kamer is oké, maar niet heel netjes. De douche is klein en zag er vies uit. We gebruikte een campingbedje voor onze baby, maar deze was kapot. Een van de stangen van de bovenrand was ingezakt. Bij het aangeven hiervan, kon de man achter de receptie hier niks aan doen omdat dit een taak was van de housekeeping en ze waarschijnlijk maar 1 babybedje hadden. De kamer was erg lawaaierig. Zowel geluid van buiten was heel goed te horen als het geluid in het hotel van de andere gasten. De ligging daarentegen is echt top!

Quick review of the Apple Inn is that I would not stay here again. Here is the good and the bad. The Good: The location is excellent. It’s a short walk to Vondelpark, or to a nice bakery. It’s on the #2 tram line, which can take you throughout the city. Most is the staff were friendly and helpful, and there is a nice patio area to escape to. The Bad: If you have difficulty negotiating stairs request a room on the first floor. The stairs risers are very small and steep. In the compact room we found a TV that receives one station, a lukewarm shower and a safe that did not open. We asked for the safe to be repaired but it was not. Also, the breakfast cook appeared to dislike Americans.

Personal nett, ABER Preis-Leistung unterirdisch. Für fast 200€ noch nie schlechter irgendwo gewohnt. Zimmerbild der Buchung hat leider nichts mit der Realität zu tun. Teppiche im Hausflur mit großen Flecken. Im Zimmer Vorhänge teilweise aus der Führung gerissen. Bei geschlossener Zimmertür großer Schlitz zum Türrahmen und Tür komplett schalldurchlässig. Große Flecken im Stoffkopfteil vom Bett. Matratze durchgelegen. Kopfkissen steinhart. Winziger Schrank mit durchhängender, nicht adäquat schließender Tür und dicker Staubschicht auf dem Schrankdeckel. Bad so winzig, dass man sich nicht mal um die eigene Achse drehen kann. Schimmelflecken unter der Decke und Duschwand voll mit getrockneten Wasserspritzern und Kalk. Straße vor dem Fenster auch in der Nacht extrem laut und Fenster nicht schallisoliert. Insgesamt somit leider keine Empfehlung.

El cuarto es realmente incómodo. Es antiguo y no es funcional. Ir al baño y bañarse es demasiado incómodo. El precio es muy elevado. No vale la pena.

Quick review of the Apple Inn is that I would not stay here again. Here is the good and the bad. The Good: The location is excellent. It’s a short walk to Vondelpark, or to a nice bakery. It’s on the #2 tram line, which can take you throughout the city. Most is the staff were friendly and helpful, and there is a nice patio area to escape to. The Bad: If you have difficulty negotiating stairs request a room on the first floor. The stairs risers are very small and steep. In the compact room we found a TV that receives one station, a lukewarm shower and a safe that did not open. We asked for the safe to be repaired but it was not. Also, the breakfast cook appeared to dislike Americans.

Personal nett, ABER Preis-Leistung unterirdisch. Für fast 200€ noch nie schlechter irgendwo gewohnt. Zimmerbild der Buchung hat leider nichts mit der Realität zu tun. Teppiche im Hausflur mit großen Flecken. Im Zimmer Vorhänge teilweise aus der Führung gerissen. Bei geschlossener Zimmertür großer Schlitz zum Türrahmen und Tür komplett schalldurchlässig. Große Flecken im Stoffkopfteil vom Bett. Matratze durchgelegen. Kopfkissen steinhart. Winziger Schrank mit durchhängender, nicht adäquat schließender Tür und dicker Staubschicht auf dem Schrankdeckel. Bad so winzig, dass man sich nicht mal um die eigene Achse drehen kann. Schimmelflecken unter der Decke und Duschwand voll mit getrockneten Wasserspritzern und Kalk. Straße vor dem Fenster auch in der Nacht extrem laut und Fenster nicht schallisoliert. Insgesamt somit leider keine Empfehlung.
