Nicht gefallen haben uns Kleinigkeiten, das Essen im Restaurant ist recht teuer; der Pool war etwas kühl und in unserem Apartment war die Küche nicht so gut ausgestattet.

The location is perfect, but for a five star resort unfortunately it falls short especially in the properties. We stayed in a two bedroom Town House which on arrival looked fantastic, but soon noticed the poor condition internally. The living room had several loose floor tiles large chunks of plaster missing from walls and the skirting boards in an awful condition. The handrails for the stairs was a worry though they had definitely been coming away from the wall at some point and silicon had been used to try and hold the rail in place which wasn't working and clearly this is something they should address for safety purposes. Jacuzzi in each bathroom didn't work shower fixings broken or missing in each bathroom. Main bedroom balcony patio door lock was broken and the outside light didn't work.

This resort has great bones. It has the potential to be great and, I think, was once, not long ago. It’s let down by the condition of the rooms/apartments. The location is good, it’s possible to walk to a few restaurants and Carvoeiro is within striking distance. Our apartment was a good size, but just needed some maintenance and updating. The dishwasher didn’t wash dishes properly. The rail on the balcony was warped, “splintery” and needed painting/staining. The fittings in the bathroom were, in some cases, missing or broken. The mats in the gym are worn thin, the floor of the gym is stained and damaged. The TV service was good in terms of choice of channel, signal was patchy though and could benefit from providing access to Netflix, Prime etc. Would I go back? Yes, right after a renovation.

We really enjoyed our stay at Monte Santo and would happily return. Our room didn’t have enough blankets or towels and when they were replaced they often weren’t replaced equally (no bath mat after cleaning, missing face clothes). Otherwise, it was a great stay

Great staff and the main pool was the main attraction. We were a group of 20 people staying in a mix of 2 bed apartments. All the rooms were good, clean and had everything you needed. We didnt need to fight for loungera in the morning but most people were quite quick to place towels. Some of the pool area had tiles that could do we replacing and some of the bridges needed attention. The Cool Bar by the pool was great for drinks, ice creams etc. The breakfast was always good, attentive staff. They offered various eggs too but no sign to say that so found out by seeing other peoples food. The nearby town of Carvoiero was great to visit too. Easy to get around in cabs and Ubers.

The mats in the gym are worn thin, the floor of the gym is stained and damaged. The TV service was good in terms of choice of channel, signal was patchy though and could benefit from providing access to Netflix, Prime etc. Would I go back? Yes, right after a renovation.

We really enjoyed our stay at Monte Santo and would happily return. Our room didn’t have enough blankets or towels and when they were replaced they often weren’t replaced equally (no bath mat after cleaning, missing face clothes). Otherwise, it was a great stay

Nice resort but needs urgent refurbishment. Not even close to 5 stars. Small breakfast room, very small gym, etc. breakfast at a 2 star hotel level.

Great staff and the main pool was the main attraction. We were a group of 20 people staying in a mix of 2 bed apartments. All the rooms were good, clean and had everything you needed. We didnt need to fight for loungera in the morning but most people were quite quick to place towels. Some of the pool area had tiles that could do we replacing and some of the bridges needed attention. The Cool Bar by the pool was great for drinks, ice creams etc. The breakfast was always good, attentive staff. They offered various eggs too but no sign to say that so found out by seeing other peoples food. The nearby town of Carvoiero was great to visit too. Easy to get around in cabs and Ubers.
