Lovely hotel, amazing history and features. Gardens are spectacular, views are great and small tea factory is a lovely touch. Food could be better (ate dinner and breakfast) but overall a lovely hotel with great heritage.

Just a magical stay at the Heritance Tea Factory. You definitely come here to stay here for a bit as it's not near the main road, but it's so peaceful and bucolic. The sunrise over the tea fields was spectacular, but the highlight for the kids was tea picking and the dinner in the railcar. We stayed in the Flowerdew Suite, which was enormous, but the only slight gripe is that I booked for 2 adults and 2 kids and realistically there was only the one king bed and a sofa, and since the kids wants to sleep together, they decided to sleep on the floor. They actually had no complaints and said it was comfortable so we let it be.

I stayed two nights at the Heritance Tea Factory hotel. As soon as I arrived I was amazed by the scenery, it looks just exactly the same as the photo, surrounded by tea plantations with a great with of the mountains from afar. It is a bit of a drive from the town but it was nice to be in somewhere very peaceful and scenic. They have a lovely welcome ritual and tea. The hotel still has the engines from the factory days and they runs every night for 30 mins. It is full of stories in this hotel. Everyone is so kind, welcoming and helpful. I took the nature walk with Mohan and he is very knowledgeable and has the best photography skills! I also did the Pekoe trail with Mutu, the kindest man who showed me all about the flora and fauna, and taught me some local languages. We had the best laugh! Thank you team!

The room is comfortable but a bit dated. The bath tub needs to be replaced as it was stained and cracked. But the rest of the hotel was lovely with such a beautiful story behind. Food was great and the views and surroundings stunning. Interesting to see how the tea is made and that you use the same branch for black, green and silver tea. However, the car journey from Colombo was horrible with small, windy roads and it was easy to get car sick for 6 hrs drive - one way😱

Everything was outstanding, the staff was friendly, extremely polite and made sure everything was to our liking. We splurged in the dinner train experience. It was well worth the extra. Historic building but personally felt some modernization could be done without compromising the aesthetic qualities for example automate closing of the elevator doors. Also the access path to the property should be widened and resurfaced for safety reasons. Beautiful gardens and friendly helpful staff are redeeming features

かなり山の中にあるので、行く道が少し不安になりましたがホテルに到着すると内装が素敵でテンションが上がります。スタッフの方も皆さん親切で、色々説明してくださりとても感じが良いです。夕食は電車のカートの中で食べれるコースメニューを予約していただきましたが、駅員の格好をしたスタッフが食堂車で食べているような演出をしてくれてとても楽しいのでおすすめです。周りな何もなくホテルを楽しむかたちですが、色々なアクティビティが用意されているので十分楽しめます。

3日間のホテル滞在を ゆったりと過ごすことができる良いホテルです Tea Plucking 体験は 有意義な時間でしたが、Tea Tasting は正直 何を体験したのか不思議な時間でした 4種の異なる紅茶を飲んで 説明を聞く40分で 情報的には Tea Pluckingとかぶる部分も多かったので もう一工夫あると感じ方も異なったかと思いました

La struttura e' bellissima essendo una vecchia fabbrica di the convertita in hotel. Il personale si presenta bene, in divisa locale. Tuttavia avrei da fare alcuni appunti. Non e' un 5 stelle secondo gli standard cui sono abituati gli europei. L'hotel si presenta come ecosostenibile, ma c'era una gran dispersione di calore, visti gli spifferi di aria che c'erano in camera. La qualita' della colazione e' molto discutibile. I prodotti non sono propriamente freschi, soprattutto circa i dolci. Ci siamo ritrovati gli stessi dolci che venivano venduti al bar il giorno. Abbiamo preso un cappuccino ed un caffe' americano, ma abbiamo dovuto pagarli a parte. Le uniche bevande incluse erano succhi confezionati pieni di zucchero. Il personale era molto gentile. Il ragazzo del bar e' stato veramente molto carino. Solo uno del personale non ci e' piaciuto. Girava ai tavoli col qr code dell'hotel per chiedere una recensione, ma restava vicino per leggere il giudizio che veniva dato. L'hotel e' veramente molto bello, ma sarebve stato piu' bello se le attivita' organizzate non terminassero tutte entro le 16.00 o max 17.00. La maggior parte degli ospiti si fermava li solo per una notte e col check in alle 14.30 non avevi il tempo di organizzarti e prenotare un'attivita'.

Non e' un 5 stelle secondo gli standard cui sono abituati gli europei. L'hotel si presenta come ecosostenibile, ma c'era una gran dispersione di calore, visti gli spifferi di aria che c'erano in camera. La qualita' della colazione e' molto discutibile. I prodotti non sono propriamente freschi, soprattutto circa i dolci. Ci siamo ritrovati gli stessi dolci che venivano venduti al bar il giorno. Abbiamo preso un cappuccino ed un caffe' americano, ma abbiamo dovuto pagarli a parte. Le uniche bevande incluse erano succhi confezionati pieni di zucchero. Il personale era molto gentile. Il ragazzo del bar e' stato veramente molto carino. Solo uno del personale non ci e' piaciuto. Girava ai tavoli col qr code dell'hotel per chiedere una recensione, ma restava vicino per leggere il giudizio che veniva dato. L'hotel e' veramente molto bello, ma sarebve stato piu' bello se le attivita' organizzate non terminassero tutte entro le 16.00 o max 17.00. La maggior parte degli ospiti si fermava li solo per una notte e col check in alle 14.30 non avevi il tempo di organizzarti e prenotare un'attivita'.

A unique experience to stay in a historic tea factory immaculately and sympathetically converted into a luxury hotel. Lovely spa treatments but highlight was tea picking and seeing the historic boutique tea factory onsite. Beautiful secluded position in tea plantations and countryside
