This was a great location just a 2-3 minute walk from a major transit station. I would stay here again and I would recommend this. Considering what food costs in Switzerland, free breakfast was important.
There is a warning on the back of the bathroom door that if you steam up the room and set off the fire alarm, it's a 150CHF fine, and I was worried about it before I showered. I later learned that it is not a problem at all at standard shower temperatures. No need to stress.
I stayed in a one twin bed room. It was small but not cramped and had everything I needed.

Breakfast was very nice. Hotel staff were pleasant and very polite & helpful. A little construction was ongoing but not a negative factor at all. Close to trains.

We loved our stay here!! Make sure to request a room with a balcony & view of the water, absolutely stunning views of the mountains & city. Affordable and great location. The women at the front desk gave us great recommendations. Breakfast options were just ok & not super clean (ex: utensils could’ve been washed better, etc) but can’t complain. It had an espresso machine which was very nice. Definitely recommend staying here!

Very close to train station, market and eateries with vegetarian options.
Lake facing with good scenic beauty.
Negatives
No electric kettle in room. To get hot water you have to go to lobby. The hot water container is generally switched off and you have to wait for 30-45 minutes for water to get hot.
Not enough lights in the room.
Charging sockets for phones were difficult to find. Found one behind bed side table almost at floor level.
Did not find it value for money.

Hotel is under renovation. The rooms beside ours is undergoing demolition. Good thing we were there only at night. The hotel needs to improve customer service in general. Maybe because the hotel is really dated and undergoing renovation but customer service shouldnt be compromise. Breakfast should serve better, fresher food, fruits!

The receptionist was rude while I checked in. The breakfast was below average compared to other hotels in Switzerland. Overall this hotel is only good for its location as it’s near Interlaken West station and is adjacent to a river.

Central location and great room. Pricy, but excellent breakfast options and price is comparable to others in the area... It's a tourist town, so it's expected, I guess.
Room was not sound proof despite closing windows and terrace doors, so early morning disturbance from loud tourists and trains in the area

The room was nice and had a nice view to the river. However, since there is a pub in the corner, it got noisy for few hours and drunk people were making noise during very late at nigh. The walls are not sound proof so could hear the neighbors steps, conversations, etc. I couldn’t have a good rest

Aside from its convenient location near the station and Coop, and a bathroom that was reasonably clean, this hotel was a complete disaster. The room floor had dust and hair left behind, showing that even the most basic housekeeping was neglected. Yet the far bigger problem was the staff, who were shockingly unprofessional, uninformed, and inconsistent. Every question produced a different answer, and it quickly became clear that communication and training were nonexistent.
The worst failure was with my confirmed SBB Door to Door luggage service. Before arrival, the hotel had promised to assist. Once I checked in, I was told to “wait until tomorrow.” Over the following days, staff repeatedly contradicted one another: some said they could help, others refused responsibility, and none took ownership. On the final morning, I was told bluntly to leave my luggage in the lobby “at my own risk.” In the end, I was forced to handle everything myself. Even the courier complained that staff denied any knowledge of my request.
This hotel embodies indifference, poor management, and zero accountability. It was one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. I will never return, and I strongly urge others to avoid it.

The hotel is rather shabby in places, with quite a few trip hazards, but our room was clean and the breakfast provided had many options. It doesn’t feel like a very welcoming hotel - too many notices starting with 'Don't '- and staff not particularly interested. For example, youre not permitted tobyse a travel kettle and you'll need to bring an adapter to charge your phone. I asked if they had a charging point and was told bluntly 'Buy plug'.
