Hotel Bahnhof

The hotel is in an excellent location, very convenient to stores and train. The room was small and didn't have ac.

The mountain view was incredible. The check in staff was very helpful. It is conveniently located across Zermatt Banhof and Gornergrat station. Tons of restaurant options. Highly recommend.

The room was nice and clean

It was one of the most memorable hotels during my month-long trip in Europe. The hotel was located just 30 seconds away from the train station, which was very convenient. Although the bathroom and kitchen were shared, they were clean and well-maintained.

Terrific front desk staff, very helpful and informative. Room was very clean, shower was super and bed was very comfortable. My only “complaint” is that there is not a visible sign you can see from the street. But we asked someone at the train station who pointed us in the right direction.

A very good hybrid of hotel and hostel. And location just across the road from the train station was perfect when travelling by train with luggage. My single room was simple and basic, with shared bathrooms/toilets, but was clean and comfortable. I had some concerns initially but sharing facilites wasnt problematic. A small balcony with a view (sometimes!) of the majestic Matterhorn was great!

I was traveling as a solo traveler to Zermatt and was so impressed with Hotel Banhoff! The hotel is directly in front of the SBB train station and directly next to the Gornergrat Mountain Railway train. I was there for two nights and I stayed in the private room with a balcony the first night and the dorm room for the second night. Everything was very clean and organized. There is no lift within the hotel so if you do have luggage you will have to carry it up the stairs. The hotel has a separate ski room where you can store your equipment, a luggage storage room, and a separate kitchen/common room area. Everything was very spacious. The showers were a great size and were very hot so it’s amazing after a long day in the snow. Such an amazing location and was able to walk everywhere. The Mürini Viewpoint was only 16 minutes walk from the hotel, and it was so great walking around and seeing all the fabulous shops and restaurants. The check in process was very easy and I was happy to hear no check out instructions. The staff was so amazing! The front desk lady helped me with getting a plan in order for me to see as much as I can and helped me with any recommendations I asked for. Definitely an amazing stay:))

Great location. Nice single room. Clean. A bit noisy with some many people coming and going but it might have been the weekend.

Very closed to the train station all other shops in the street.

Good ski storage. Excellent kitchen, food prep and eating area. Pitty no oven for those pizza’s though…only microwave . Right opposite the train station and 40 yds to the ski train…and around the corner from the main bars, restaurants … and the co-op..best of all worlds

The room was clean with a beautiful view from the balcony! No elevator gives you plenty of exercise. The bathrooms are shared.

Fun place to stay

Close to train station - it’s a bunk house/hostel rather than a hotel - OK for an overnight stay shower OK bed was not the best for me personally. But OK for our one night for the Glacier Express. I know accom is at. premium in Zermatt but I will make sure I look closer as to what things are called hotels on our next visit
