My partner and I recently stayed at the Mandarava Resort and Spa, and we had an amazing experience. Tucked away near the beach in Karon, this villa-style resort is surrounded by lush greenery and offers breathtaking views of the nearby mountains. The entire atmosphere exudes peace and relaxation like stepping into a tropical sanctuary.The villa-suites are beautifully designed to blend in with the natural surroundings, offering privacy and comfort.
One of the highlights of our stay was the massage at the spa which was a wonderful and deeply relaxing experience. The treatments from Apple and Milky were thoughtfully done in a serene and comfortable setting, leaving us feeling completely refreshed and restored.
The staff at Mandavara were truly outstanding — so kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch that made the entire stay feel even more special.
The food was delicious and fairly priced, and I really appreciated how generous they were with bottled water during our stay— a small but thoughtful gesture that made a big difference in the tropical heat.
If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with top-notch service and a calming spa experience, Mandarava Resort and Spa is highly recommended!

It was our second time staying at the Mandarava and it was amazing as usual. Accommodation was great, we had a pool access room and wouldn’t go any other way. There are 5 pools and numerous pool bars which we especially took advantage of during happy hour - very fair cocktail prices.
The only 2 things I would critique are the TVs and the in room service. The TV’s don’t allow you to connect your phone to it to watch things like Netflix. Especially on the days where it rained or stormed. I wish they had Smart TV’s. The pizza and garlic bread were terrible both times.. barely cooked cheese and a very dry base.
Other than that, everything was incredible and I would recommend anybody to stay here!

This is a wonderful hotel. The 5 pools are well maintained and beautiful. The food is very good. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is extremely polite and helpful.

This resort is amazing, lots of pools to choose from and great breakfast selection. Staff were lovely, and couldn't do enough to help. We loved the little buggies that would take you to your room if you couldn't be bothered to walk up the hill.

Our stay at this resort was nothing short of amazing. We were surprised by the friendly staff and the lengths they go to, to accommodate dietary needs and make your stay memorable. The room was clean and as described.
The pools were clean and located amongst the most beautiful and tropical oasis.
We will definitely be back.

Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und haben uns die ganze Zeit über sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Anlage ist gepflegt und die Mitarbeiter waren stets um alles bemüht und sehr nett. Wir fanden es schön, dass es mehrere Pools gab und nicht ein großer Pool. So haben sich die Gäste gut verteilt und es war angenehm ruhig. An jedem Pool gab es Handtücher, die man sich ausleihen konnte. Es gab sogar einen Adults only Pool. Aber allgemein ist dies ein ruhiges Hotel. Es gibt sehr viele Treppen, was uns aber nicht störte. Unser Zimmer war sauber und es war alles da, was wir brauchten. Uns störte nur, dass wir gleich das Zimmer neben dem Restaurant hatten, wo auch das Frühstücksbuffet war und ab 5 Uhr früh ein Geräuschpegel herrschte, dass wir nicht mehr schlafen konnten.

Really great place…no real complaints. It’s a bit hilly so a lot of up hill walking but they do have shuttles which are pretty convenient. You can take the shuttle to Karon beach as well HOWEVER last shuttle back is 6 so you can’t really go to Karon for dinner or see the sunset. But that said you could still use Grab to come back. Anyway highly recommended.

Visited 9 years ago and loved it. This visit was a disappointment - felt like everything had just become a little lower in standard. Fake grass by the pool, poor outside seating at the bar and I think the rooms have been redecorated and personally not a huge favourite of the new colours.
The dressing table in the bathroom is fairly useless due to the heat in there and the lack of light. The heat also gets worse as while the AC is great, the policy is no AC when the housekeeper leaves the room, so it can be a sauna if you are in a sunny room with the amount of glass.
The grounds are still stunning and the breakfast offering was excellent. Cocktails at the bar were expensive and poor quality. Gym is OK but needs some new equipment.
We actually left for 2 nights of our 4 night stay to stay elsewhere as it was a huge disappointment after such an amazing first visit.
Wouldn't rush back personally but a lot of other guests seemed to be enjoying it.

We thoroughly enjoyed the high-quality breakfast, the friendly staff, and the pool options. We turned our Air Conditioning up to cool the room, however, the Air Conditioner struggled and kept the room modestly cool. Thankfully the room had a powerful ceiling fan.

Das Hotel liegt leicht erhöht in einer grünen Oase. Wir waren vor zwei Jahren schon mal hier. Die Zimmer sind neu renoviert und sehr sauber und gemütlich. Man hat uns sogar unseren Zimmer Wunsch kurzfristig erfüllt, da wir im gleichen Bereich sein wollten wie vor zwei Jahren. Personal sehr herzlich und freundlich.
Die ganze Anlage liegt traumhaft im grünen. Hier kann man es aushalten. Bei unserer nächsten Thailandreise kommen wir bestimmt wieder.
