Extra mandatory fee for "gym" even if you dont use it. $35/day
Bedsheets were not changed even when room service was requested for this.
Bath tub was clogged and so was the sink.
Overall, it was okay to stay here.

The hotel has a welcoming atmosphere with its wonderful air fragrance throughout the lobby. The valet team was very friendly, informative and helpful. Our room is very clean and we had a great view of downtown. Concierge was cordial; our room was already available but charged us $50 extra because we were here before 4pm check in. This was the first time I have been charged for an early checkin when the room was ready! When asked for a late checkiut, the lady concierge offered us a complimentary noon checkout but an extra hour will result an additional fee. After travelling 4 1/2 hours ftom Chicago & returning from a late soccer game, I attempted to request for a late check out. The male concierge stated that they can not grant a late check out due to full occupancy. I thanked him anyway & confirmed the noon check out. I was told check out is at 1100 & there was no message noted of the noon checkout. After describing to him the lady that granted the noon checkout, he again denied the noon checkout & notified the hotel manager. Thankfully the manager allowed the noon checkout even though he didn 't see any notation of late check out. However, he stated that our room key is coded to turn off at noon. Wouldn't that prove the checkout WAS indeed grantef for noon??? At the least there were professional but not friendly or accomadating. Also, there is no room service after 10 pm.

It was a perfect location! We were able to walk everywhere and the valet parking was super easy with the staff beeing really attentive. We took our car out only if we wanted to see places outside the city. The view from our room was priceless! We would definitely stay here again!

Requested to pay for the early check in when I booked the hotel. I called ahead prior to arrival to confirm early check in was selected, they confirmed I selected it. When I arrived to Chicago and was on the way to hotel I called to make sure early check in was still going to be okay the front desk representative stated early check in is first come first serve and she can’t guarantee it’ll be available when we arrive and anyways it’s an additional charge and I advised that I understood and I opted in when I booked for the additional charge early check in and ended the call. I arrived at 12pm at the hotel they reminded me again of the additional charge advised I understood and they stated they would add us to a wait list but would call us shortly when an room was available we waited in the lobby for about an hour/hour an half, they did offer to take our luggage so we could go do something if needed but made it sound like the room would be open shortly. After waiting the hour and half we decided to give our luggage and go kill some time. We realized while we were out that it was 4pm so decided we should head back since that’s regular check in when we arrived at 4pm I asked for an update on the room they stated they still didn’t have a room ready yet but once again they would update us when one is ready once again. After waiting about 15 more minutes a manager approached us and asked if we were waiting advised we had been since 12 he asked us to go to the desk and immediately wa

We’ve visited Chicago about 15 times, and this hotel stood out thanks to Lucas at the front door - his warm, fun, joyful greetings each day made our 4-day stay feel truly special.
We had two rooms: one with a tub and excellent AC, the other struggled to keep cool and didn't have a tub. The second day, an engineer solved the AC issue which we appreciated. Beds were comfortable but soft—maybe not ideal for those with back issues. Pillows weren't our favorite, and the shampoo/conditioner was poor, so bring your own. One other note - the rooms are exceptionally quiet, but the gap between the door and the floor made it easy to hear in and out to the hallway.
The location is outstanding, just steps from the river, Art Institute, Millennium Park, and tons of great restaurants. Despite being busy, they let us check in about an hour early, which we appreciated.
It doesn’t have the grandeur of places like the Palmer House, but the rooms are nearly as nice and much more spacious.
CVS & Walgreens are nearby so you can buy water and other necessities when you arrive.

I gave 4 stars only because my experience checking in and with the hotel staff was just terrible.. the hotel was beautiful and my room was very comfortable for 4 guests, however, the staff needs some lessons on friendliness. Landing in a new city, the way I was greeted was not welcoming at all. He gave us a hard time when asked if our room was ready or if we could possibly check in a little early. Then at the end of my stay they slapped on an early check in fee which was never mentioned when I checked in! Also terrible communication between workers to get our bags stored while we explored the city waiting for our room. So disappointing to have such rude employees at such a beautiful hotel.
