Very comfortable room and bed. Quiet room despite being close to M4. Good breakfast. Great overnight stop and good value for money

Great room with all the amenities, good free WiFi and free parking …I really enjoy staying at this hotel.

Everything was good

Clean room, modern amenities and high end toiletries. I loved everything about it - in fact, the room was worth more than I paid so was very glad. I removed one point because I felt itchy but that maybe me as I’m allergic to some laundry detergent but the beddings were very clean - I have no complaints at all on the surface, which is very unusual of me & we enjoyed the breakfast.

The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. Not much they can do about the business park still having areas of construction and the approach road needing resurfacing. Staff are friendly and it was a pleasant stay.

Stay was ok but after a night out I didn’t need housekeeping knocking my door 3 times prior to 11am on a Sunday morning…then when I left the room at 10:30 the hoover was across my door so nearly tripped. Very quiet so lacking atmosphere but ok for a 1 night stop over

I've stayed in quite a few Premier Inns and Travelodges this year, and a few independent hotels, but my room at Tŷ Magor beat all of them. My room was comfortable and fresh and spotlessly clean (the glass and polished metal gleaming!). The bed was comfortable (there was a sofa bed too), the pillows generous. The bara brith biscuits were yummy and the coffee bags were good. Best of all, the air conditioning was pretty much silent, but still effective. I slept well. Reception staff were friendly and the whole experience was good.

Nice and clean hotel with comfortable beds and great shower. Just a feedback lifts were not working and we asked for a wake up but when we arrived to our room phone was not working. And a/c was not turning off so I called reception from my mobile 3-4 times but noone answered.

I don’t normally write bad reviews but feel I have to as my experience differed greatly from the many positive reviews I had read. On arrival at the hotel I was told the lifts were not working (there had been no communication about this prior to arrival which I would have expected) luckily I am fairly fit and could manage the 4 flights of stairs to my room. If I had been travelling with my mother, as I often do, this would have been a very different story - she wouldn’t have managed one flight. When I enquired about booking a table in the restaurant I was told it was closed over the weekend- again there had been no forewarning of this, in fact I had received an email inviting me to book a table! The bar was serving a very limited menu (4 items) which was ok. On entering my room it was quite spacious and looked clean, however, when I went to make a cup of tea the spoons and cups were filthy - the spoons were covered in a brown substance (chocolate mouse? I hope) this made me question what else had not been changed/ cleaned since the previous occupant. I hope it was just an oversight. The staff on reception did replace the cups and spoons when asked and said they would report it to housekeeping. The kettle was also dodgy, I had to hold the button down in order for it to boil as it kept turning itself off. There was also a lot of noise, on such a new build I would have expected the rooms to have some sound proofing but this was definitely not the case. Very disappointed.

It was faultless .. very clean , temperature perfect , will highly recommend this hotel
