Sugar Bay Barbados - All Inclusive

Very nice property nice beach front! Walking distance to the Garrison! They have two nice pools . Staff is very friendly and helpful! They have a lot flowering trees and bushes ! Various sizes of trees that creates a nice atmosphere. They have entertainment every night! The performers are very talented!

9 out of 10. Buffet was delicious and they switched it up every meal so no duplicate options. Resort is beautiful. The workers are phenomenal. The only downfall was that they close these doors at night bc they must not want you down on the beach after hours. Please explore the area. Theres multiple beautiful beaches that you can walk to. Plus a few areas with multiple bars and food trucks. Check out St. Lawrence Gap!! We would def come back!!

Can’t say enough about this place, and I can’t think of a single negative thing to say about it. Food was awesome, even though it was mostly buffet. The restaurants were spectacular. The service was excellent. The drinks were very well made, if you know what I mean. The servers and bartenders and maintenance people were all friendly and helpful and smiley. We loved it there. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an all inclusive in Barbados.

I would highly recommend this hotel.. It is very safe to walk outside of the hotel. The staff is super friendly and fun. the rooms were very clean. The hotel overall was very nice..

Excellent!

Overall we agreed it hit just right in most areas. Pro’s -Service very friendly. Very helpful setting up taxis. Couldn’t say yes enough. -Balconies nice. We had ocean view. Beds comfortable -Small resort but had just enough space. Never felt crowded. -Food as expected. The main dining area never had hot dogs, burgers, chicken nuggets, fries. You could get that at the pool grill. Main area had real food every day and evening -Steak place nice. Menu pretty good without having to up charge Cons -Drinks are super sweet. no matter what we ordered, just too sweet -we received a spa credit but I called probably 3-4 times and tried to book an appt on line and they showed nothing available thru July (traveled in April). They never called back despite leaving room and cell number -Physical plant a little tired. Lots of little things that need fixing

I absolutely recommend Sugar Bay and I hope to return soon. The restaurant staff, the bar staff, the beach staff, the grounds staff, the cleaning staff, the maintenance staff, the staff that welcomes you the moment you arrive and check in are smiling and friendly. They are all helpful and recognize the "deer caught in headlights" look when you don't know what you are doing. All of the staff at this resort make you fall in love with Sugar Bay and more importantly, the people of Barbados. The food is delicious, the spa is worth it and don't forget to make reservations at the restaurants. Now, I agree that there are some small updates/upgrades that could be made around the resort but you don't notice things like that unless you are looking for them. My best friend and I had a maintenance issue with our room and that was handled. It wasn't due to an upgrade that we could see that was needed. :) My biggest tip is to remember that you are hopefully there to relax and have a wonderful time away from your daily grind. Please remember that your kindness matters. Sadly, we witnessed a couple of unkind patrons, only a couple, who forgot this but I will say that the Sugar Bay staff handled these patrons' unkindness with grace and an over abundance of kindness in return. As a whole you will find yourself surrounded by happy people, staff and fellow vacationers, at this resort and you will leave refreshed.

Sugar Bay was awesome. Delicious food. Beautiful beach. Excellent service.

The staff was exceptional. The beach and water was beautiful. Umbrella and drink service was great. The staff works very hard and are very attentive to guests’ needs. The Room amenities were limited, only 2 bath towels, no water in the refrigerator, but upon asking for anything, the staff brought whatever was needed. Buffet food was average, limited options. Restaurants were good, but limited to 2 dinners for 6 night stay. We were given an extra dinner at the restaurant because I was a vip visitor. The pool was not clean. Only 1 rest room on the property located in the lobby for guests to use. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

Great time

The best thing about Sugar Bay is the staff. They are all incredible! Nothing is too much trouble, and they’re always smiling and friendly and eager to help. I’ve travelled a lot, and rarely have I come across a hotel where ALL the staff are as excellent as the people at Sugar Bay. Thank you for a lovely stay

Beautiful resort. Friendly staff. Clean. Nice beach.

The staff made our trip extra special - super friendly and accommodating. We brought our 1.5 yr old and they went out of their way to say hello and make her smile. Every night at dinner they had a performer on stage for entertainment - all were very good. The food was great - we made our two reservations at the restaurant and then ventured off the resort for two dinners, it was a convenient walk to restaurants but some of the side walks were very narrow and didn't fit a stroller. Also our room was on the 3rd floor without elevators so if you have any issues with mobility definitely say that ahead of time. We mostly stayed on the beach because the main pool was very crowded. The waves are big so we were grateful that we brought a life jacket small enough for our child, but the resort did have life jackets available for water sports. I recommend Sugar Bay if you are looking for a smaller boutique resort.

The staff were amazing. Friendly and courteous. Food in the buffet was very good and both la carte restaurants were excellent.

Prompt communication with staff/ concierge. Very friendly staff. Clean facilities. Safe and secure facility. Would have liked more yoga sessions. Great experience at the Sugar Bay Resort. Would go back in a heart beat

Fantastic, friendly hotel. The beach is amazing and the staff, without exception, professional and helpful. The food and drink were of exceptional quality. We had one of the best ever holidays here!

Very bad

This resort was perfect for us. To start, transportation from the airport to the resort was extremely easy to book, efficient and not a far drive from the airport. Check in was seamless. Our room wasn’t ready until 4. They do have a room with a changing room, shower, bathroom so you can change and enjoy the day depending when you arrive. All food here is good, which you don’t come by often at all inclusive resorts. The buffet menu changed daily for dinner and lunch. They have two restaurants on the property which were both good. Umi was our favorite - the sushi was 10/10. Children are allowed at this resort and mostly stay at the pool. There is only one main pool and one small pool (which nobody went in). The beach was great, they come and put up an umbrella for you so you don’t have to worry about getting shade. The staff is very nice. All around I would come back. This is the perfect place to relax & a no frills resort.

Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Food very good and varied dining options. Super ambience. Only downside is no sunbeds ever available at the pool in spite of notice saying reserving sunbeds not allowed. Many were empty all day with no one using them even after putting towels on them. Policy should be enforced.
