An oasis in the heart of Phnom Penh Palace Gate Hotel & Resort was an exceptional place to stay and truly deserves a 5-star rating. The service was excellent throughout our visit: professional, warm, and always attentive without being intrusive. The hotel itself is beautiful, with elegant architecture, peaceful gardens, and a lovely pool area that feels like a calm oasis right in the middle of the city. After busy day in Phnom Penh, it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The location is also ideal, close to major sights while still feeling quiet and secluded inside the resort. Overall, a fantastic experience with great service, beautiful surroundings, and a very high standard of comfort. Highly recommended.

Unser 2. Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Gleiches Zimmer wie letztes mal mit Balkon und Poolblick. Sehr schöne Anlage und gut gelegen. Gutes Frühstück und auch die a la carte Menues sind empfehlenswert und eher günstig. Sky Bar mit Hapy Hour. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Preis/Leistung sehr gut.

Stayed here twice at the beginning and end of my 2-week trip to Cambodia. Both stays were great. The service at the Palace Gate is IMPECCABLE, including reception, restaurant, spa, and cleaning. My room was super comfortable: huge bed and bathroom, hot shower, great mattress and pillows, AC worked great. One especially nice touch was the salt scrub in the shower. I liked the breakfast, especially the freshly made noodle soup, but the rest of the hot entries were not great, nor were the breads. I think this is the only area the hotel could improve. On the other hand, the dining area, overlooking the pool, is lovely. The hotel's location is excellent, just a stone's throw from the Royal Palace and an easy walk to the National Museum and the river. I had drinks at the rooftop bar one night; they were ok - nothing to write home about - and the food was a bit of a disappointment there too. Still, the hotel overall was terrific; I would absolutely stay there again. One note of caution: there is construction going on right across the street from about 7 am to 5 pm every day and it is pretty loud, so if you are planning a trip in the next few months, you might look at other options for the short term.

Durch die Lärmbelästigung der Baustelle nebenan kommt man bis spät abends nicht zur Ruhe. Dafür kann das Hotel nichts, jedoch sind die Zimmer nicht Schallisoliert, es sind einfache verglaste Balkontüren, die nicht komplett schließen

Great hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. They even upgraded our room to a suite, which was greatly appreciated. The inclusive breakfast was great with a good variety of options. We also had dinner in the restaurant on our first night, which was delicious with good portion. Location was great, a stone throw away from the Royal Palace and river. The only thing is that they gave us two cards, one to open the room and the other for electricity. The one for electricity didn't work and shut it off after ca 10 seconds. Even though we reported that it didn’t work to the reception, they just said it's only for electricity so a bit of communication gap there. In the end we just used the key card meant to open the room for electricity. Also, one thing to note is that they take $100 deposit by cash upon check in, which is a bit unusual since it's normally done by card in other hotels we stayed in.

Really enjoyed the stylish "Khmer" decor and rooms. Lots of lush greenery and gardens , especially around the pool area. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff were excellent. Location was fantastic . Short walk to river, palace and not far from market.

The hotel location is perfect, very walkable to the river and right next to the palace. Very friendly and professional staff and the hotel is very clean and well maintained. The pool is very relaxing and the quality of pool food is excellent as is the breakfast buffet. Excellent gym facilities. The roof top bar is very nice with attentive staff and quality food and drink. I would give it 5 stars I'm sure, if I hadn't have been given a room on the 3rd floor directly under the rooftop bar, which closes at 11pm and then furniture and clean up went on until past 1am. The hotel did move me after the first night, to another room, but also on the 3rd floor, as apparently they were fully booked. This was no better, and after 3 nights of interrupted sleep I can only give a 3 star review on a personal level.

The whole experience was fantastic! The staff, the room, the service, the food, and the location made our stay memorable. Although the hotel is in the city right by the Palace, it felt like we were in a beautiful resort outside a city. The only improvement opportunity we can provide would be about the entrance where guests come in for checking in and choking out. The entrance is not appealing. We got off on the street literally no hotel designated entry way for cars or for guests. The street right by the door was dirty and smelly. We were actually scared of entering the hotel. We wondered what we should expect from the inside based on what we experienced at entry point. However, once we got in, inside the hotel starting from the reception area did not let us down. The breakfast buffet was great with a good variety of choices. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. The rooms were very clean, the poolside we incredible appealing and you don’t want to leave the hotel.

An oasis in the heart of Phnom Penh Palace Gate Hotel & Resort was an exceptional place to stay and truly deserves a 5-star rating. The service was excellent throughout our visit: professional, warm, and always attentive without being intrusive. The hotel itself is beautiful, with elegant architecture, peaceful gardens, and a lovely pool area that feels like a calm oasis right in the middle of the city. After busy day in Phnom Penh, it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The location is also ideal, close to major sights while still feeling quiet and secluded inside the resort. Overall, a fantastic experience with great service, beautiful surroundings, and a very high standard of comfort. Highly recommended.

Unser 2. Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Gleiches Zimmer wie letztes mal mit Balkon und Poolblick. Sehr schöne Anlage und gut gelegen. Gutes Frühstück und auch die a la carte Menues sind empfehlenswert und eher günstig. Sky Bar mit Hapy Hour. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Preis/Leistung sehr gut.

Wonderful experience, have a new home in Phnom Penh. Upgraded my room to an Apsara Suite. Every room is a bit different and very thozghtfull equipped with everything you would need. Staff carefully trained and over-friendly.

Stayed here twice at the beginning and end of my 2-week trip to Cambodia. Both stays were great. The service at the Palace Gate is IMPECCABLE, including reception, restaurant, spa, and cleaning. My room was super comfortable: huge bed and bathroom, hot shower, great mattress and pillows, AC worked great. One especially nice touch was the salt scrub in the shower. I liked the breakfast, especially the freshly made noodle soup, but the rest of the hot entries were not great, nor were the breads. I think this is the only area the hotel could improve. On the other hand, the dining area, overlooking the pool, is lovely. The hotel's location is excellent, just a stone's throw from the Royal Palace and an easy walk to the National Museum and the river. I had drinks at the rooftop bar one night; they were ok - nothing to write home about - and the food was a bit of a disappointment there too. Still, the hotel overall was terrific; I would absolutely stay there again. One note of caution: there is construction going on right across the street from about 7 am to 5 pm every day and it is pretty loud, so if you are planning a trip in the next few months, you might look at other options for the short term.

Durch die Lärmbelästigung der Baustelle nebenan kommt man bis spät abends nicht zur Ruhe. Dafür kann das Hotel nichts, jedoch sind die Zimmer nicht Schallisoliert, es sind einfache verglaste Balkontüren, die nicht komplett schließen

Great hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. They even upgraded our room to a suite, which was greatly appreciated. The inclusive breakfast was great with a good variety of options. We also had dinner in the restaurant on our first night, which was delicious with good portion. Location was great, a stone throw away from the Royal Palace and river. The only thing is that they gave us two cards, one to open the room and the other for electricity. The one for electricity didn't work and shut it off after ca 10 seconds. Even though we reported that it didn’t work to the reception, they just said it's only for electricity so a bit of communication gap there. In the end we just used the key card meant to open the room for electricity. Also, one thing to note is that they take $100 deposit by cash upon check in, which is a bit unusual since it's normally done by card in other hotels we stayed in.

Really enjoyed the stylish "Khmer" decor and rooms. Lots of lush greenery and gardens , especially around the pool area. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff were excellent. Location was fantastic . Short walk to river, palace and not far from market.
