Osborne Hotel

This is a lovely little hotel in a perfect spot to visit Newcastle. The staff were all lovely and were keen to make my stay as good as possible. My room was on the 2nd floor and there is no lift (which I knew but still overpacked!) so perhaps don't take one big suitcase like I did! The hotel is well maintained but is not "modern". It has everything you could want except if you stay at the height of a heatwave, there is no AC (i was given a fan which suited me but just a note). The bedroom doors are heavy and slam as people go in and out, which made me jump every time my neighbours went in or out. Also my room faced the road so as i had to have the windows open, I could hear every word from every person visiting the local shop over the road as well as the traffic. Just something to be aware of if you need silence! The free WiFi was a decent speed and the parking spots are a godsend in this part of Jesmond. The room was spotless and the breakfasts were delicious. I'd definitely recommend staying here as access to everything is close by via the Metro or by foot, and you'll get a fantastic Geordie welcome.

Superbly friendly staff and lovely fresh breakfast

Lovely staff, lovely room but the mattress on the bed was very hard so I had a really uncomfortable sleep. I checked out early without trying the complimentary breakfast because I was so tired.

What a great place

Very helpful, friendly staff who look out for their visitors. Excellent central location with parking. Very reasonable rates.

Laura the hotel receptionist was so lovely. We really enjoyed the breakfast which was great. Location is very good. Had another great stay there, my 4th time and I recommend it to all my family.

Room booked at very short notice. Room was lovely and comfortable. Staff were really friendly and welcoming, as they are every time I stay. We had the grab and go breakfast, which is a great idea, and suited us really well

The hotel was comfortable and the breakfast was cooked fresh to your order. The hotel was a little further out of Newcastle than what I thought but we walked into town for food and drinks in around 45 mins. The hotel is on the older side but was perfect for our needs (3 lads in a triple room on a motorcycle tour)

Good value stay. Decent enough single room for £40 including breakfast.

Great staff

Very comfortable room, great breakfast and very friendly staff. Parking was easy and it may be good to let them know that you are coming by car. Just to note: Rooms are upstairs and there was no elevator

Excellent value. Clean comfortable rooms. Although we faced the road, there was little traffic noise through the windows. Free parking around the back of the hotel.

Great little hotel. But the staff and owner make it special , they are friendly and caring and go out of their way to help make your stay comfortable. Breakfast cooked to order and it is good. Room and bathroom were clean , bright and bed comfortable . I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

This was a wonderful hotel. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming, and the amenities were top notch. As someone who was not familiar with Newcastle, the location was outstanding with a host of restaurants, a Metro station and the airport nearby.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and I cannot praise the staff enough for their kindness and support. I arrived late around 9:00 PM with my electric car battery running critically low. Even though the hotel doesn't officially have EV charging facilities, the staff member on duty went above and beyond to help me out. He was incredibly thoughtful and offered to let me charge the car using a three-pin plug from the building. While I chose not to use that specific method, I was so impressed by the gesture. It is rare to find a team so willing to think outside the box and offer creative solutions just to ensure a guest is taken care of. Highlights: • Customer Service: Top-tier and very empathetic. • Atmosphere: Welcoming and supportive from the moment I checked in. • Reliability: You can tell the staff truly care about the guest experience. They really do go the extra mile to satisfy their customers. I highly recommend staying here if you value genuine hospitality!

Great breakfast

Helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast is always good and cooked fresh. We try staying here as often as we can when we are in Newcastle. Jesmond is a 20 minute walk away from the centre of Newcastle. With bus and metro transport options also available. Can’t rate the hotel or area highly enough.
