Absolutely appaling stay at the Thanet ... As so incredibly often in these hotels the tv didn't work and as usual the staff feign surprise & promise to have it mended 'for the next people' .... I am used to that but this was also filthy, noisy and badly maintained (shower was a dribble and cold tap in the basin simply didn't work) ... All in horrendous stay and terrible service

Poor maintenance and smell

Dette "hotellet" er det verste vi vært borti. Rommet va så skittent å i desperat behov av diverse reparasjoner. Vinduet gick ikke å låse grunnet ødelagt vegg, hattehylla hang på trekvart ut av veggen. Dusjen va så skitten at der hadde en garantert trengt å oppsøke sykehuset etter bruk. At dette stedet holder åpent er sjokkerende.

Room was not ready and poorly maintained. No amenities , no towel provided.

Gross place but cheap. Fine for a boys night out but don’t take your wife. Staff hit and miss. Great location

Absolutely without any question the worst hotel I’ve stayed in ever. EVER. And I’ve been to 121 countries. The “en-suite” didn’t include a toilet, the window wouldn’t open, there was no air con in the room during a heatwave, the whole place was falling apart and the TV didn’t work. Oh and when you arrive, there is nobody on reception and 15 minutes may pass until there is. Just awful.

The shower curtain looked like builders had used it to cover something. Also shower light not working. Basement room was cool and comfy bed were the only saving grace

Habitación sucia Colchones detonados ( se notaban los resortes y se te clavaban en el cuerpo ) La ducha no funcionaba y no la arreglaron y tampoco nos cambiaron de habitación siendo que tenían carteles todo el tiempo informando que estaban disponibles las habitaciones ! El baño de la habitación es similar al baño público de la calle. Todo de plástico y encima se siento olor a podrido porque no están bien hechos Pagamos por un baño dentro de la habitación y en la recepción nos dijeron que usemos las duchas comunitarias de los pasillos. Luego de dos días sin poder ducharnos , optamos por usar el comunitario el cual estaba muy sucio y no hacen mantenimiento No hay ventiladores , ni aires acondicionados. Y por tanto si quieres descansar por las tardes es un horno encendido. La ubicación es buena . Creo que es lo único positivo Estuvimos 4 días. NO LO RECOMIENDO.

Quite outdated, not really clean, no water pressure in the showers. Half of facilities unavailable. Personnel is friendly.

I’m keen to stress the hotel was cheap and there’s a bit of you get what you pay for. But the accommodation was very poor. A few points of note: A terrible sewage smell that came from our ensure and what looked to be human faeces dry in the floor, I’m assuming a waste pipe had broken under the floor. The room was full of fly’s, most like attracted by the sewage smells. The bed base / springs had almost completely collapsed so you ended up sleeping in a “V” The fire door to our room had significant gaps (that might be an issue in itself) but this let a lot of sound from the corridor with people coming and going throughout the night. The curtains had no backing so the room was very light in the early hours, I get this is a first world problem but combined with the loud noises and smell it was not a good place to sleep. Generally the hotel is in poor condition, with holes in the floors and very run down. I would recommend you spend a little more money before booking!

This hotel has a great location, but that iis really all that it has going for it. It has a general air of being run down and uncared for - in my room the TV didn't work, the cold tap in the bathroom sink only released a tiny trickle of water and the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work, meaning that mould was beginning to grow in the shower. Cleanliness levels were unacceptable, and when I asked on the second day why the room hadn't been cleaned, I was told that I would have to pay extra for for thid.

It was a disgusting room, black mould and fixing held on with tape. All round dirty room, the carpet was filthy

Avoid at all costs! Dirty looking needs a. Complete refurb fixtures and fittings broken and to rub salt into the wounds they charge £5 to store your luggage. It’s central that’s all it has going for it

L’eau froide était difficile à obtenir, et la saleté s’accumulait sous les lits et sur le sol. La salle de bain était moisi, des murs aux aérations du bac de douche. La fenêtre ne se fermait pas complètement, nous réveillant souvent au bruit de l’extérieur. Les murs étaient si fins qu’on entendait respirer nos voisins. Mon lit était cassé en deux, maintenu par une seule planche, mais pas tout à fait droit. Nous avons dû demander des serviettes de bain. J’ai des photos pour étayer mes propos.

We were allowed to check in a little early and the location was great but everything else was very bad. The room was dirty, especially the carpet which wasn't even on the photos. The walls were cracked. The shower was clogged and dirty. There was no place to put a suit case and no hangers or anything for your clothes. When we asked the reception for toilet paper and a towel later in our stay, they juat asked if we didn't already have it.

Good location and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely come back

This property was horrible in all sense of the word. The sheets were dirty, bathroom was filthy and covered in mold and the whole room was crumbling away. The bed was old and you could feel every spring. Do not recommend.
