Had an amazing stay at the altapura, read a few reviews a few days before we went and were worried, but it was great. Main complaints were about how hot the rooms were, which were understandable, but opening the window solved that. The other critique we read was about the restaurants and choice of food for half board. Breakfast was buffet and had a great selection. Dinner you get 65 euros contribution each evening towards food, which you can choose from the menu of the 3 different restaurants they have. European, Japanese and a cheese place. The food is all cooked fresh and to a great standard. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the hotel is in my opnion in the perfect location, ski in skin out, not far from several ski lifts, but not in thr centre of town so you don't get all the noise and footfall. Beds were really comfy, overall had a great experience and will be back next year!

A truly ski in ski out experience right off Plein Sud chairlift. Val Thorens is breathtaking and the service is unmatched. Breakfast was included and was lovely every morning inside Casa Alta with a view of the slopes. Two turn down services per day and free ski locker with rentals and room reservation. My driver, Florian, was fantastic and was hired by the hotel to pick me up in Geneva, Switzerland. Great rooms and great value. Trip of a lifetime!

les fenêtres des chambres ne sont pas isolant, on sent le froid quand on est à côté, et on a eu froid pendant la nuit, le room service est rentré à deux reprises en nous réveillant pour je ne sais quel raison !!!

We had a fantastic suite overlooking the slopes. The room was of a good size and styled well. Breakfast was good and the bar area and selection of drinks was very good. It is a spa hotel and this lets it down slightly. The spa is very basic and a bit dingy. The pool was also cold. Could do with a refurb in my opinion and this really would be a fabulous hotel. The ski hire was also 3 times the cost of other shops located 2 minutes away. I queried this and was told “it’s a five star hotel” by the staff. Although I get that when it comes to food/ drinks/ service. The skis were much the same as you can get anyway so didn’t warrant the unnecessary cost. I think it was over €100 per day for ski hire which is crazy. A little out the way for walking to the town but they offer a free (we always tipped the driver) service up to where ever you wish to go.

Já é o segundo ano que fico no Altapura, adoro o Hotel. Só tem um ponto a melhorar que sao os restaurantes, eles são péssimos, literalmente 1 estrela. Tirando o café da manha que é ok, os restaurantes precisam melhorar bastante. Fica minha sugestão porque quero voltar ao Hotel outras vezes, mas a comida precisa melhorar bastante.

Amazing staff who couldn't be faulted in any way whatsoever Great interiors and style, modern spa vibe Wonderful breakfast excellet quality and choice Truly ski in ski out Loved the ski hire on site and the ski locker room which was practically on the slopes Room was a bit of a squeeze Dinner was good every night but not amazing. Good to be able to dine in all 3 restaurants on half board option Spa facilities all very good but not luxurious Room VERY hot at night in spite of turning down a/c to 10 Celsius (staff should have told us when calling down to reception to figure out a/c that it could have been turned off altogether centrally) as it clearly didn't work properly and we slept badly every night

o local é espetacular, staff super prestativo, você faz tudo no hotel desde alugar os skis até comprar o ski pass! Possuem transfer que te leva para todos os lugares. Porém o ponto negativo são os restaurantes do hotel, pouca variedade de opções, comida muito ruim e não condiz com a qualidade do hotel! O bar é ótimo, tem boa variedade mas em relação a comida no hotel não é recomendado.

The value for the buck is not there; for this type of pricing you would expect more, we have a back pain from the bed, spa/ hot tub area closes at 8 pm!! Food was not nearly to the standards of Michelin as they advertised at all..

Fantastic hotel, the staff was very nice and accommodating. Ski shop had great rental options and equipment was in very good condition. Ski room was nice and lockers had plenty of room for all gear for 2 people. Ate at Altayaki the first night and it was very good. Breakfast buffet was also amazing every morning. Would definitely recommend for a ski trip and would book again.

Die Bewertung bei Hotels.com entspricht absolut nicht der Realität. Eine Bewertung von 8,0 wäre ok. Der Service lässt im Hotels völlig zu wünschen übrig. Beim Frühstück wird man nicht nach einem Kaffee gefragt und beim Abendessen über den Tisch gezogen. Halbpension bedeutet hier du hast 3 Restaurants und 65€ Budget pro Person. Kommst aber bei jedem Essen deutlich darüber. Ein Aperol kostet bspw. 18€. Solche Preise existieren noch nicht mal in Zermatt. Im Bad riecht es nach Urin und die Zimmer sind an sich nicht sehr gepflegt. Auch der Wellness Bereich erinnert mehr an eins in die Jahre gekommenes Schwimmbad. Das Hotel ist absolut Nix zu zu empfehlen für den Preis. Eher ein 4 Sterne Hotel mit 8,0 Bewertung

les fenêtres des chambres ne sont pas isolant, on sent le froid quand on est à côté, et on a eu froid pendant la nuit, le room service est rentré à deux reprises en nous réveillant pour je ne sais quel raison !!!

We had a fantastic suite overlooking the slopes. The room was of a good size and styled well. Breakfast was good and the bar area and selection of drinks was very good. It is a spa hotel and this lets it down slightly. The spa is very basic and a bit dingy. The pool was also cold. Could do with a refurb in my opinion and this really would be a fabulous hotel. The ski hire was also 3 times the cost of other shops located 2 minutes away. I queried this and was told “it’s a five star hotel” by the staff. Although I get that when it comes to food/ drinks/ service. The skis were much the same as you can get anyway so didn’t warrant the unnecessary cost. I think it was over €100 per day for ski hire which is crazy. A little out the way for walking to the town but they offer a free (we always tipped the driver) service up to where ever you wish to go.

Had an amazing stay at the altapura, read a few reviews a few days before we went and were worried, but it was great. Main complaints were about how hot the rooms were, which were understandable, but opening the window solved that. The other critique we read was about the restaurants and choice of food for half board. Breakfast was buffet and had a great selection. Dinner you get 65 euros contribution each evening towards food, which you can choose from the menu of the 3 different restaurants they have. European, Japanese and a cheese place. The food is all cooked fresh and to a great standard. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the hotel is in my opnion in the perfect location, ski in skin out, not far from several ski lifts, but not in thr centre of town so you don't get all the noise and footfall. Beds were really comfy, overall had a great experience and will be back next year!

A truly ski in ski out experience right off Plein Sud chairlift. Val Thorens is breathtaking and the service is unmatched. Breakfast was included and was lovely every morning inside Casa Alta with a view of the slopes. Two turn down services per day and free ski locker with rentals and room reservation. My driver, Florian, was fantastic and was hired by the hotel to pick me up in Geneva, Switzerland. Great rooms and great value. Trip of a lifetime!

Já é o segundo ano que fico no Altapura, adoro o Hotel. Só tem um ponto a melhorar que sao os restaurantes, eles são péssimos, literalmente 1 estrela. Tirando o café da manha que é ok, os restaurantes precisam melhorar bastante. Fica minha sugestão porque quero voltar ao Hotel outras vezes, mas a comida precisa melhorar bastante.

Amazing staff who couldn't be faulted in any way whatsoever Great interiors and style, modern spa vibe Wonderful breakfast excellet quality and choice Truly ski in ski out Loved the ski hire on site and the ski locker room which was practically on the slopes Room was a bit of a squeeze Dinner was good every night but not amazing. Good to be able to dine in all 3 restaurants on half board option Spa facilities all very good but not luxurious Room VERY hot at night in spite of turning down a/c to 10 Celsius (staff should have told us when calling down to reception to figure out a/c that it could have been turned off altogether centrally) as it clearly didn't work properly and we slept badly every night

o local é espetacular, staff super prestativo, você faz tudo no hotel desde alugar os skis até comprar o ski pass! Possuem transfer que te leva para todos os lugares. Porém o ponto negativo são os restaurantes do hotel, pouca variedade de opções, comida muito ruim e não condiz com a qualidade do hotel! O bar é ótimo, tem boa variedade mas em relação a comida no hotel não é recomendado.

Cet hôtel est idéalement placé au pied des pistes! Il est trop bien équipé. 3 restaurants, spa, kids club , ski shop avec une belle sélection des produits de très bonne qualité. Le personnel est professionnel et très aimable. Meilleur endroit pour aller passer un belle séjour au ski

The value for the buck is not there; for this type of pricing you would expect more, we have a back pain from the bed, spa/ hot tub area closes at 8 pm!! Food was not nearly to the standards of Michelin as they advertised at all..

Fantastic hotel, the staff was very nice and accommodating. Ski shop had great rental options and equipment was in very good condition. Ski room was nice and lockers had plenty of room for all gear for 2 people. Ate at Altayaki the first night and it was very good. Breakfast buffet was also amazing every morning. Would definitely recommend for a ski trip and would book again.

Die Bewertung bei Hotels.com entspricht absolut nicht der Realität. Eine Bewertung von 8,0 wäre ok. Der Service lässt im Hotels völlig zu wünschen übrig. Beim Frühstück wird man nicht nach einem Kaffee gefragt und beim Abendessen über den Tisch gezogen. Halbpension bedeutet hier du hast 3 Restaurants und 65€ Budget pro Person. Kommst aber bei jedem Essen deutlich darüber. Ein Aperol kostet bspw. 18€. Solche Preise existieren noch nicht mal in Zermatt. Im Bad riecht es nach Urin und die Zimmer sind an sich nicht sehr gepflegt. Auch der Wellness Bereich erinnert mehr an eins in die Jahre gekommenes Schwimmbad. Das Hotel ist absolut Nix zu zu empfehlen für den Preis. Eher ein 4 Sterne Hotel mit 8,0 Bewertung
