Beautiful! Excellent staff. Concierge was very helpful. Right on the slopes ski in and out.

Beautiful facilities and good location, however there was a lack of attention to detail from staff. We weren’t told where breakfast was, how to access WiFi, what to do with ski equipment or how to use the spa!

Mountain View and ski in ski out was wonderful. Rooms were very comfy and spacious. Loved the Igloo cold room and dry sauna. An out door and bigger hot tub would fit this hotel vibe much better. Restaurants were quiet and food good but the wine list needed to be revised… the French wine selection was limited… always upselling because the desired wines weren’t available which was very disappointing and irritating…. Change the menu if the wines aren’t available. Overall - the people working at the hotel were wonderful as were the rooms. Breakfast was amazing ❣️Loved the heated locker rooms. Overall a very positive pleasant experience and atmosphere.

Un bon hôtel de sport dans les Alpes, ni plus ni moins. Mais pas 5 étoiles. Les chambres, le local à skis et l'espace bien-être sont corrects. Le service pourrait être amélioré. À la fin, des frais de service sont apparus sur la facture (aucune explication fournie). En résumé, gestion impersonnelle, on ne se sent pas les bienvenus, mais plutôt comme de simples locataires. Bon emplacement, directement au pied des pistes, infrastructures correctes, service et organisation perfectibles.

Everything about our stay at the Altapura and Val Thorens was excellent and so memorable.

Super easy to access all the ski slopes, the staff was absolutely fantastic. Food and general ambience could be better.

Malgré une excellente localisation, une décoration moderne et chaleureuse, des soins spa de qualité et un personnel globalement de bonne volonté, notre séjour à l’hôtel Altapura a été décevant. Dès l’arrivée, une erreur a été commise à la réception : une pré-autorisation de 1 500 € a été débitée par erreur. On nous a assuré que cela serait régularisé au départ. Au ski shop, on a essayé à trois reprises de nous vendre une assurance vol malgré nos refus. Mes skis étaient trop courts, et j’ai dû retourner les changer une heure plus tard. Dans les restaurants, le service était décevant : à Casa Alta, nos apéritifs ont été oubliés et apportés 20 minutes plus tard, sans excuse. Nous avons attendu environ 30 minutes pour commander les desserts alors que le restaurant était presque vide. À la Laiterie, nous avons demandé la carte des vins, qui n’est jamais arrivée. La propreté laisse aussi à désirer : couloirs sales avec les mêmes papiers au sol plusieurs jours. Dans notre chambre, quelqu’un est entré à 10h30 sans prévenir alors que le check-out était à 11h. Au moment du départ, la facture affichait 1 500 €, exactement la somme débitée à l’arrivée. En la vérifiant, nous avons constaté une double facturation de la location de skis et l’ajout d’une « contribution salariale » que nous avions refusée et dont le montant ne correspondait pas aux 4 % annoncés. Nous repartons donc très déçus et ne reviendrons pas.

Our stay at Altapura Hôtel & Spa was the best choice we made. Amazing service throughout, and Adrian at the front desk was outstanding. We’ll definitely be back!

Not a 5star or Michelin hotel. The rooms are very small. Cleaning doesn’t even happen until 4 pm. The spa facilities are exaggerated on pictures. Outside pool is tiny. Hamam did not work our entire stay. The shuttle service to places works, but impossible to get shuttle to pick you up on the way back. The restaurant service is unacceptable. Only Casa Alta ikind of ok. Same menu every day . And apparently half board only applies to dinner. Where in the rest of the world it’s a dinner or lunch. Reception service is awful, messages are not passed along, and zero desire to resolve something

Estrutura boa mas falta servico, treinamento e desenvoltura. Equipe atenciosa e jovem, precisando de direcao! Cafe da manha baguncado, dificil conseguir mesa limpa ou cafe quente. Restaurante funciona para jantar, o restaurante de raclete é bom, fuja do restaurante japones!

I recently stayed at this hotel and many aspects of the experience were enjoyable. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, staff at check-in and breakfast were friendly, and the amenities — particularly the pool, spa, and gym — are good. The ski-in/ski-out location is ideal for exploring the slopes, and the overall vibe of the property is relaxing and stylish. However, I need to be transparent about a serious issue that significantly impacted my stay. During our visit, my AirPods were stolen from the luggage storage room. I became aware of the theft as we were departing for the airport, reported it immediately to the front desk, and asked for assistance and any available security footage. Unfortunately, the response from management was completely unresponsive. I was told someone would call me back, but I received no follow-up communication, and there was no indication that any investigation was initiated. For what should be a serious matter — a theft from a guest’s personal luggage — the lack of accountability or support was both surprising and very disappointing. While many reviews praise the hotel’s style, location, and service, there are some traveler reports that mention concerns about service quality, responsiveness, and accountability from management. Some guests have even described safety or service issues and a lack of adequate follow-through from staff. Overall, I genuinely appreciated a number of what the hotel does well — great rooms, excellent facilitie

The staff was available 24 hours a day. Very friendly and willing to assist you with your needs. The shuttle drivers were on time and had great suggestions. The ski in ski out access was perfect. The ski shop had great equipment and the locker room made it as easy as you can hope for. The lounge bar was a great place for a night cap and to catch some live music. Breakfast in the morning was top notch.

Amazing amazing amazing, staff were fab, ski lockers UNBELIEVABLE, the free shuttle into the town and back whenever you need it, view from the room 10/10 th Asian restaurant was the best food we ate, we had a birthday and an interest in our Party and the staff surprised us with champagne and a birthday cake, we will be back next year!

Had a fantastic stay at Altapura. The staff were super friendly and attentive. We had dinner at Altayaki one evening which was excellent. We hope to visit again next year.
