We arrived at 11pm- the attendant was friendly. Exiting the elevator you have a substantial dip in the floor and an open stairwell- so a bit scary.Got to the room and it was dirty, hit, and the beds did not have blankets. We went to turn on the tv- and the plug was tied in a know and no joke - a thick layer of dust on it. We called down to ask for a blanket and to see if the tv works. Blanket was delivered - and no tv does not work. Too tired to argue. Got up, had a shower - the surround is covered in mold and white plaque- I lost an earring so had to look at the drain- there was a massive hair ball so I could not take the cover off and look. I went to look under the bead to hopefully see if the earring was there- no but there were bottle caps, food crumbs, and dust bunnies. We left that day. We argued with the new person at the front desk that said they would clean the room- no- it should have been cleaned before! I have photos of everything.

Great boutique hotel with friendly staff. Perfect location,m close to everything.

Very enjoyable stay! The lounge was spacious and beautifully decorated with a marvellous terrace.

The hotel had a cute breakfast and common areas. Unfortunately my room had bed bugs. I went down to the lobby at 2 in the morning with a video and they moved me to a new room but didn’t offer any compensation or even reply when I sent an email after. It’s quite disruptive to have to pack everything up in the middle of the night - and that doesn’t even consider the feeling that you have bugs everywhere.

The positives were the location and breakfast :). Would have been a higher score if the bed was more comfortable and the persistent noise of outside (fan?), would benefit from better double or triple glazing.

They moved us to their sister hotel NL which was farther and smaller, and just compensated us with free breakfast and one day free bike rental. They said they tried to contact us but we didn't get any email or message via the hotels.com app.

Nice staff and great location

It was a horrible experience - we booked and paid for this hotel months ahead and not until we arrived were we told it had a sudden problem and they couldn't accommodate us. They had arranged however to put us a nearby but lesser grade hotel. We went to see and had to agree because we were tired. However, they would not reimburse us for the difference in hotel rooms. We booked a superior room and ended up with just a shabby 2-3 star hotel room. There was no breakfast in the new one. In total we paid abt 370 euro exc tax for 2 nights and the new hotel was only 120 euro per night. Yes, we have asked Hotels.com to do sth but after nego, they just said it's the hotel management and rules for no refund! Totally unacceptable. We know accidents happened but this arrangement is totally out of proportions.

My partner and I were invited to a wedding in Holland and therefore took the opportunity to visit Amsterdam as well before going to Breda. However, I wish that the reviews were more truthfully and I had read them all through. On the day of check out I woke up covered in bites, my arms, feet, legs and so on. Even found a dead bed bug on the counter. I find it concerning when reading the reviews again that the mention of bed bugs and the hotel is still listed here. I had to go to the wedding feeling disgusting and covered in bites at a event where a lot of photos were taken. My main concern is the possibility of bringing bed bugs to our home. When addressing the situation the staff they were apologetic and were going to email Expedia about a refund. Though its not really helping with the constant itching and the fear of them being in my bag.

I could write plenty more words on this hotel but I’ll sum it up in Blunt Bullet Points: Good: •Location •It has a lift Bad: •Bed Bugs (BEWARE) •Insanely Steep Stairs •Strange Lack of Management/Manager during normal business hours. •Superior Rooms do not seem ‘Superior’ whatsoever Real shame I had to leave this review as I’ve stayed here twice before and it was pleasant.

Everything felt close by, staff was extremely good. A bit noisy during night but fan drowned it out. But great place to stay.

The state of this hotel is unacceptable. Avoid it at all costs. The room we were supposed to stay in was infested with bed bugs. The bathroom was absolutely filthy with loads of ants and hair on the floor. The bed sheets were dirty and ripped, so were the curtains. It looked like this room had never been cleaned before. It was clear to us that we won't stay there, so we were forced to find another hotel. After we left (it was in the middle of the night) we came back the next morning and demanded a refund. After a lot of back and forth and the staff member refusing to call the hotel manager who was supposedly in a meeting the whole day and therefore not available, they refunded us the money in cash. On top of that the staff member claimed that this never happened to her before even after 11 years of working there, which simply cannot be true, regarding the bad reviews of this hotel which all address the same issues and are not all too old. All in all it was a terrible experience. Do not go there. If you ever visit this hotel and have the same experience as we did. Be persistent and insist on your refund.
