Emerald Beach Resort

The breakfast was delicious and MG was the best server at the restaurant. Unfortunately, the rest of the servers are not friendly nor in any kind of hurry to get your order and most of them dont smile or even greet you at the table. The bartenders are not friendly unless you're a regular. My Mahi sandwich during lunch was terrible, it was a mahi jerky. Tthe rice/peas are delicious. The drinks are watered down and this place automatically adds 18% gratuity. The rooms look like they started updating them but it still needs more. Not enough drawer space and to many chairs. The reading lights dont work and the bathroom door automatically closes. Add a microwave! The bathroom is well lit and it looks like new. The beach area, is rocky at points but beautiful.

Clean room and great location! Most of the staff were very nice but a bit understaffed. Only thing we had trouble with was our shower. It was either really hot or cold. Food was excellent and loved the beach!

The bartender lady is extremely rude and down right angry and does not belong working with the public. She is not capable of carrying the entire place alone and should not have to. While I understand her frustration and bad mood you should not take it out on the customers. The food was ok but after waiting almost 2 hours for it we were not exactly hungry anymore. The front desk ladies were nice and helped us in any way they could but the restaurant and bar are in desperate need of new management. This place has a ton of potential with the right person delegating operations. Even with the cons I would stay again just for the beach and pool area.

The room was clean. Staff were super friendly. The restaurant at the hotel was HORRIBLE. It was dirty, understaffed, and overpriced for the bad service. We waited for 45 mins before anyone could acknowledge us and another 20 to get our drinks then way later our food. We left the second time when we were seating for 30 mins and no one acknowledged us. The restaurant needs a big makeover from aesthetic to business to service. We would recommend the hotel but not the RESTAURANT. Don’t get us started on the dirtiness of the restaurant.

Although very close to the airport, I would not stay here again. The rooms have a bright thermostat light that shines in your eyes all night. Service at the restaurant is extremely slow.

Clean room, beautiful beach and great staff!

Last minute booking due to American Airlines Receptionist was very nice. But bombarded by frustrated American Airlines clients who had terrible day at airport. Room was nice but had to return to office to get towels . The bathroom was clean but stripped of towels.

The service was not great. Excellent location however the hotel needed maintenance. Lobby doors didnt work.

Great ocean view and easy beach access

Every day wake up to a beautiful view. Beautiful beach right there. The room is clean. But the hotel overall feels a bit outdated. The restaurant is slow, the food is so so and expensive.

Overall this is a decent property to stay at. The view of the ocean was beautiful from the room. The pool is cold to refresh you from that hot sun. Room was clean and they bring towels/wash cloths daily. The food options are limited however and service does take a while at the actual restaurant. Lunch service was not as slow as dinner even though it was more crowded. The rice and peas as a side option was really good. The cafe service was faster with breakfast sandwiches, muffins and pastries to choose from along with coffee. The taxi situation outside the property can be a hassle if you are going further into the island than the nearby touristy areas. Be prepared to leave early for any excursions you have booked to leave plenty of time to arrive by taxi.

The hotel did a good job handling the airport closures and the beach was nice escape.

The room was overall clean and smelled clean when we arrived , the front desk staff was always nice and courteous. The restaurant lacks service and it takes forever to get anyone to come to your table for even a drink . The beach bar is the best place to get waited on appropriately. (we wanna say how much we enjoyed Thomas) The little cafe i only saw open once during our stay which was disappointing. The hotel is not really in walking distance to anything , so u will have to taxi to and from everywhere, but do note there is no ATM on site and the taxis only take cash , so if u are planning a longer stay like we had , u will definitely want to venture out due to the lack of amenities. Also, the menu changes with breakfast lunch and dinner but there aren’t many options on each one and u will tire of the same food over and over. the beach is lovely and clean and sandy. views from the room balcony were beautiful. Pool area is clean. Bathrooms by the pool area could use a little TLC , but that is mostly due to the cruise ship traffic. overall is it a place meant for relaxation and enjoying the Caribbean breeze which it gave us so i happily give the 4 stars. However, if you are looking for a more lively island experience this will not be the place for you . I do find it was slightly overpriced for what is available to you on site , no breakfast included , the bar closes at 9 but beach towels and umbrellas ARE available for hotel guest use.

The property is beautiful. The rooms were clean. The staff was nice. The food was kind of expensive though. My biggest complaint is the beds. It was probably the worst beds I’ve ever slept on and I do a lot of traveling. Overall was a good experience, but I don’t know if I’d go back just because of the beds.

Great for what we needed for a nights sleep before heading off to the port to catch our catamaran in the BVIs. Room was clean and comfortable and right near the airport and the ferry port.
