Sea Side Chateau

The food was over priced to what we paid at surrounding restaurants. The cabins were nice and staff was nice.

Disappointed. Not friendly. Expensive menu. Close to airport. Clean bed. Good shower.

There are nothing close by . Only option is stay and spend the time there but might be ok if you choose not to travel around. Should have own car or cab to access this place.

This hotel is a quiet gem off the beaten path. The staff are very friendly, rooms clean and comfortable. The pool area also great for a quick dip. The most surprising is the food at the restaurant - that red snapper was the best I ate across my travels to Belize!!!! The only negative is the water surrounding the area is unswimable. I stayed for one night and it was great for my time there.

Great spot when you have a last minute flight cancellation. Staff allowed us to use pool and get a meal while we waited for our room to be ready.

The on site restaurant had wonderful staff and delicious food. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The location was safe and secure. I would definitely stay here again!

Rooms are modest/rustic but clean. We were able to stay an extra night but had to move from a suite to a cabana. The cabana was not level and felt like you were leaning. The mattresses in both were old and had springs that poked you while sleeping. The staff at the cafe on Sunday were shady; they told us to bring them our food and drinks and they would cook/serve them for us. We never got them back, and they charged us for a meal! I would not go back again.

This was our final stop after travelling through Guatemala and Belize with our two teenage boys. We stayed in two rooms in the main building (not the cabins), which were clean and comfortable overall. However, the bathroom setup was unusual—the walls around the toilet didn’t extend to the ceiling, making it feel quite open and lacking privacy. The morning coffee setup also left something to be desired. It felt more like a camping experience, with low-quality coffee and powdered milk, and an additional charge of $2 USD for a second cup. We also found it a bit strange that the chef asked for a tip after providing what was described as a complimentary continental breakfast. More concerning, however, was that the same chef made inappropriate comments to our teenage sons, which made them uncomfortable enough to leave the pool area. That was disappointing and concerning. Overall, the property feels somewhat run-down and could benefit from a refresh. The food was pretty good and the shuttle service was nice, but unfortunately, this visit fell short for us.

It was nice that they were able to accommodate our early arrival. The room was clean but there were several large ants this morning. Since it was windy a lot of items were rattling making it hard to get a good night sleep. It would have been nice to have a couple of complementary bottles of water for the price. The pool was rather cloudy. The restaurant food is mediocre with overpriced US prices.

What an amazing experience. The staff were eager to share of their culture including the food and wildlife. The kids had a great time in the pool, hammocks and naming the iguanas at Sea Side. We went with our family of 4 and highly recommend a visit. Dave and the staff were so welcoming. Thanks again!

Kitchen staff were great.

This is a nice place to stay. It has a few things to work on. They need to have more coffee available or put coffee pots in every room. A dessert menu would be nice and or a place that sells snacks on site. It’s not really close to a store. The staff

This is a very affordable place to stay on a budget. As a pool, which is super important because of the heat that was in great shape and clean. Restaurants staff were awesome. Front office staff was just OK. Ride to the airport was prompt so that was great.

The property and room were clean enough. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. However, the other staff I encountered acted like I was an inconvenience. Restaurant experience was strange. Ordered food and drinks. One plate arrived. Then drinks several minutes later. Then after first plate and drinks were consumed, the last plate arrived. No on-site store for snacks and drinks, which was inconvenient because the hotel is in a gated area several hundred yards down a dirt road from civilization. I was especially irritated because the hotel offered an airport shuttle pickup in the morning, which i booked. When the pickup time came and went there was no shuttle. I had to talk to the security guard at the gate, because the front desk was unmanned. The security guard actually drove us to the airport (thanks to him for going above and beyond). I was stressed because if your shuttle does not show up, you are too isolated to just flag down a taxi. I booked this hotel due to proximity the the BZE airport, but in hindsight I should've somewhere with more services nearby.

The airport shuttle was terrific! Staff were kind and the room was very clean. We wish we’d used the pool as it looked very inviting. Thank you!

Wonderful customer services clean environment and grounds

Amazing atmosphere, gorgeous views, lacking in prompt service and consistency at restaurant. Room was quite cozy and clean.
