Royal Rio Palace Hotel

Not a good hotel. Unclean, unhelpful staff, nasty linens. Needs upgrades in every area.

Hotel is very outdated and unclean. Bad customer service to the point you have to talk to the supervisor to get things done. 1- Unsafe stair in the entry - hard to see (people trip and fall often). 2- Nasty - the towels are no longer white, they are now cream- old and stained. Pillows were nasty (very stained/smelled terrible- Nasty). Asked for new pillows and had to wait an hour and call them again to get new ones. The ones were still stained and sprayed with a strong fragrance spray. Disgusting!! 3- Front desk staff not accommodating- it charges per room to keep your luggage until check in time. The guy at the front desk was forceful on getting us checked in even though we told him we wanted to check in later because we were in a hurry and had taxis waiting for us to go to a tour scheduled at 2 pm. 4- Some rooms our family stayed were a little better and we were able to move to a better room after showing him pictures of how bad our room was to the manager. The one given to my husband and I was tiny, had a full size bad which did not fit my husband, nasty linens and pillows and had stairs down to get to the room which was difficult with all the luggages we had. Also the mini fridge had a glass door with a permanent blue light on. We had to cover the door to be able to have the room dark. Location was a few blocks from the main beach street which was nice but not worth it. Pictures on Expedia are deceiving!!

My 11-night stay was okay, but more of a 3-star experience than 4-star hotel. Pros: - Excellent breakfast buffet and delicious restaurant food with generous portions. - Superb location: 5-minute walk to Copacabana Beach (Leme), groceries, restaurants, and the Cardeal Arcoverde metro for easy access to tourist spots. - Friendly, helpful, and compassionate staff, especially with issues. - Nice rooftop pool, bar, and restaurant with Rio mountain, city, and some sea views, offering great drinks. Cons: - Early check-in cost a full night's stay, forcing a long wait after an 11-hour flight. - First room (119) had poor Wi-Fi, a concrete view, and noise issues (loud music, tapping), plus a non-functional phone. It took six days and daily requests to change rooms for lack of sleep. - Second room was basic and run-down, with a toilet that never looked clean. Taps make a loud squeaking sound when water pours through. Wi-Fi was better but intermittent and slow for work. - Elevator breakdown caused long waits. - Gym was neglected with most equipment broken; hand spray was always empty. The hotel needs maintenance to live up to its 4-star potential. My experience was disappointing compared to photos and reviews; I'd hoped for a more relaxing start to my travels.

Muy buena ubicación, cerca a la playa. El desayuno excelente.

Il ne s agit pas d un 4 etoiles comme en France mais le prix n est pas non plus d un 4 etoiles .il faudrait rafraichir un peu et entreternir la salle de fitness.Le personnel est tres agreable a votre service .A la réception une personne parle Francais .Je vius recommande l hotel car tres bien situé pres de la plage et cote sécurité aucun souci .

A estada foi muito boa no geral. Quarto confortável, café da manhã muito bom. Localização muito boa. Uma única observação é quanto à segurança de crianças. A porta abre por dentro com muita facilidade. Seria bom ter uma tranca extra mais no alto. O mesmo para a janela. Se houvesse um chuveirinho, também facilitaria o banho em crianças.

Hotel muito bom, mas teve alguns problemas , ligava o ar condicionado derrubava a energia do apto, reclamei duas vezes para arrumar, mas se trocasse a função do aparelho voltava a derrubar a energia

Hotel nota 10 , oq apenas deixou a desejar foi o barulho dos turistas em plena madrugada, batendo porta , alguns até mesmo mesmo gritando , isso me incomodou , fora isso tudo foi muito bom

Room was clean and well kept in order. Very close to beach. Restaurant had very hospitable staff.

Um barulho durante a noite toda, acho que era o sistema de aquecimento de agua, parecia um aviao decolando o tempo todo incluindo as madrugadas. Horrivel. Alem disso a garagem é carissimo, 100 reais o dia.

Ótima localização, não oferecem ferro de passar roupas nos quartos e o serviço de passar é caro: uma camiseta custa 15 reais para passar. Frigobar dentro do quarto muito barulhento.

This is a three star hotel. Breakfast is mediocre, crowded and not sanitary.

Truly enjoyed my stay. The food was delicious and the staff was so accommodating. Will be back for sure!

Buen servicio

The receptionist Leandro Cruz was the highlight of my experience. He is the absolute best!! When I arrived at the hotel I even thought about leaving because the place is old and the rooms were not great. But the staff there are so nice that made my stay truly enjoyable. I got an upgrade to a room that had a dry sauna and it was amazing. The roof and the gym have a nice view.
