Excellent, clean, cute and worked perfectly

What a great experience at William Gray. From when we first arrived, the front desk, staff were very accommodating. The room had a fantastic view. Even the shower and the toiletries provided were impeccable. It will definitely be my go to when I come back to Montreal.

This property is way overpriced for what it is. First of all, staff were very unfriendly. I had questions about the stay and about the parking situation which is incredibly inconvenient, and they were evidently bothered/annoyed. Then, the room. We got the king with view. View was good, room was very industrial looking, plane, lacked any character and just looked unfinished. Desk and floor were also dusty. The restaurant (Terrace) - we went for drinks and some quick food before heading out for the night. My boyfriend ordered a burger and the burger came incredibly burnt - dry and the colour of charcoal. We politely advised the waiter that this was the case and he said “This is the way we cook burgers in Canada”. 1) We are from Ontario,Canada and this response was very inappropriate. 2) Who eats burnt burgers? Then when we did advise we are from Canada, he suggested that maybe “fast food” restaurant’s cook burgers differently. What!?!? As if we haven’t been to nice restaurants to get burgers.., and let me tell you, many other restaurants INCLUDING fast food restaurants are better than this place - both in terms of food quality and customer service. He did offer for the burger to be remade but we had a concert to catch and didn’t have the time to wait. He then proceeded to charge us for the burger even though my boyfriend took not even a full bite. Overall - this isn’t a good stay. Overrated. We didn’t stay more than one night as we decided to stay elsewhere.

The staff was exceptional. The view from our room was beautiful and the bedding so comfortable. Loved our room. We were very happy with our stay and highly recommend it to others.

Fantastic stay! Even with the power outage the statf did a great job keeping us informed and updated. East walk to all the items of interest and terrific food.

This is far and away my favorite hotel in Montreal and nothing comes even slightly close. This hotel truly embodies the essence of Montreal from the cobblestone street to the cozy atmosphere throughout the rooms. This is a perfect stay for summer or winter (I have come during both). They have an amazing cafe downstairs and tons of restaurant options near by. This truly is an amazing boutique hotel with the nicest rooms and friendly staff. I always look forward to coming back to this hotel and look forward to taking my children one day :)

There are not enough characters to describe how great our recent experience was. We had stayed previously, and it lived up to expectations a 2nd time. At the valet, they were slammed but took time to help each guest as quickly as possible. During check-in, we mentioned it was our 2nd time staying and came back to celebrate our anniversary. The front desk attendant paused for a second and said, "Well, in that case, I have just upgraded your room. This was not expected, nor necessary. This was followed by us cancelling our dinner reservations in exchange for an incredible 6-hour shift on the rooftop patio. Amazing Experience, we will be back.

This was a wonderful boutique hotel with good amenities and the perfect location to old town and the Port of Montreal waterfront activities and attractions. We met the GM of the Hotel and gave some feedback and it was resolved quickly, graciously and satisfactory. The way a great hotel would operate we were impressed!

Beautiful hotel, amazing hotel room and bathroom. Extremely clean and in a wonderful location in Old Montreal! We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful hotel and perfect location!

Very quaint hotel in the heart of old Montreal. Close to shops and restaurants. Room was quiet and I loved the bathroom and shower.

William Gray is a Nightmare Hotel with Rude Staff & Unreliable Facilities…The AC doesn’t work, hot water went out for hours while we were trying to get ready for a wedding, and we had to check out an entire day and night early because the hotel was unusable. The hotel said we could get a refund through Expedia if we checked out early, but when we called, Expedia said the hotel had denied it. There were also bugs in the rooms. The manager was beyond rude, dismissive, nasty, and gaslit us for “wanting a cool room,” blaming us instead of admitting the hotel’s failures. The hotel is clearly a money-making scheme; you even have to pay extra to use the pool. Even the rooftop, while offering nice views, had subpar, overpriced food with horrible service. This is the opposite of luxury or customer service. Spend your money somewhere that actually values its customers.

Amazing place. One of best places we have ever stayed. Fantastic location. Fantastic shower. Great restaurants and service.
