The room was clean, tidy and comfortable, in a great location close Portobello Market, Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park and Subway is walking distance. The chair in our room was very wobbly and I didn't want to sit in it in case it broke under my weight. TV remote didn't work and TV was less than 32 inches, very small. No air conditioning, but there were 2 fans which kept us cool.

After some of the reviews I read, I was not expecting a lot, but was pleasantly surprised. This hotel is a refurbish older structure that maintains its charm. This is not a modern North American hotel. If you want this, then expect to pay over double the price, if you can find it. Here you need to settle for an older building, narrow stairs (read: no elevator). But the staff are nice. Every day of our five night stay we had fresh towels, hot water, and an air-conditioning unit. The location is amazing. If you don't mind walking you are within 5 minutes of lots of food outlets, and the underground, and the embassy street. You can get to Kensington Palace within 10 minutes, and within an hour you can reach many famous tourist spots. Go out in the morning, see all the sites and get home to your hotel to collapse in a lovely bed.

Costly, clean, homely rooms. Staff will help you with anything you need. Fantastic location. A little gem in the heart of Notting Hill.

The room is very smala and we were in the basement. There is not air conditioning, only à fan! So take care with the hot weather! Small room, no air conditioning! Good service. They gave us a room before the checking time as we arrived early! And the man at the reception desk help us à lot.

This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Calling this place a “hotel” is an absolute joke. Before you even reach your "cell," you must conquer the Mount Everest of staircases: 150 steep, soul-crushing steps with no elevator. Do you want to arrive at your room completely breathless and sweating? Perfect. Because when you finally arrive, you are locked in a suffocating 5-square-meter cage. Want to share the room? Unless you plan to marry them on the spot, forget it. The room was a biohazard. Do you enjoy breathing? Too bad. The walls and the bed were marinated in stale cigarette smoke. To top it off, a strong small of weed smoke greeted me in the bathroom. The radiators were caked in dust and mold, making me cough instantly. The "amenities" were pure torture: The Dehydration Station: No fridge, no glasses. Want a sip of water? Use your hands. The Shower: Want to get clean in this filthy room? Good luck. The shower was completely dysfunctional, spraying exactly five stray, violent jets of ice-cold water in random directions, missing my body but soaking the floor. The Sink: No hand/face towel, and the soap was so watered down it felt like tears. The Bed: Harder than a brick wall When I complained, the receptionist gaslighted me. My money was completely wasted. I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone, it is a genuine health risk. Save yourself the trouble and stay away!

The room was clean and well maintained, however, the shower didn’t have much water power and it didn’t drain very well. The staff was friendly and helpful and the location was just perfect for what I needed to do .

Sköna sängar, små rum trots tre sängar. Världens minsta toalett. Mycket varmt på rummet trots fläktar. Lugn gata utanför så inga störande ljud. Bra läge, nära tunnelbana Notting Hill och Queensway.

Séjour parfait en famille – je recommande à 100 % ! Nous avons séjourné au Notting Hill Gate Hotel en chambre triple avec mes deux enfants, et tout était vraiment top du début à la fin. La chambre était parfaitement adaptée pour nous trois : chacun avait son espace pour dormir, ce qui est vraiment appréciable en famille. La salle de bain était propre, et globalement la propreté de l’hôtel est irréprochable. Un énorme point fort pour le personnel : absolument adorable ! Que ce soit à l’accueil ou le personnel d’entretien, tout le monde était souriant, bienveillant et aux petits soins. Mention spéciale pour la femme de ménage, vraiment gentille, qui prenait soin de recharger chaque jour les dosettes de café et de lait. À la réception, ils ont été particulièrement attentionnés avec mes enfants, toujours à discuter et plaisanter avec eux — ils ont adoré ! L’emplacement est tout simplement idéal : métro et bus juste à côté, avec de nombreuses lignes directes (même vers les musées), ce qui facilite énormément les déplacements. Tout est accessible à pied : restaurants, supermarchés, boutiques… Le quartier est vivant mais l’hôtel est situé dans une impasse, donc très calme la nuit — parfait pour bien dormir. Seul petit point à noter : l’isolation sonore pourrait être améliorée, on entend légèrement les chambres voisines. Mais cela ne nous a absolument pas empêchés de passer de très bonnes nuits. En résumé : un excellent séjour, un hôtel chaleureux, pratique et parfaitement situ

La ubicación está muy bien y el personal es muy amable. Pero nos tocó la habitación en el sótano y el olor que salía del baño era horrible. Además, la ventana no se podía abrir y no había manera de ventilar. Es cierto que para los precios de Londres no está mal, pero si te toca la habitación en el sótano la verdad es que es horrible. La otra habitación estaba en la segunda planta y mucho mejor, la ventana si si se podía abrir y aunque el espacio es reducido tampoco pasamos mucho tiempo allí así que no nos importó.

A localização é ótima, perto do Palácio de Kensington, do Hyde Park, e dos principais pontos do bairro Nottinh Hill.. tem ponto de ônibus super próximo, a estação de metrô também é perto. O quarto tinha chaleira (eles sempre deixavam café solúvel, chá e leite), secador (estava na gaveta da mesa de cabeceira, quer que não vi), era limpo, sabonete super cheiroso.. Ponto negativo para mim é que ficamos no quarto andar e não tem elevador, são muitas escadas kk, e o quarto que ficamos era bem pequeno, mas não sei se todos são do mesmo tamanho. Mas ficaria de novo porque o custo benefício foi ótimo e gostei muito da localização.

Well lovated. Tookv2 days to get the TV to work. If you're 6'+ you cannot bend over in the shower, the bathroom sink is thigh level and hand towels/face cloths are not available. Beds were comfortable & no elevators..
