Mercure Resort Sanur

Mercure Sanur is a bit older compared to other hotels in the area, but it’s clean, affordable, and has a lovely private beach, which is a big plus. We booked the Christmas buffet (6–9 pm) and arrived around 7 pm. By 8:30 pm, staff repeatedly asked if we wanted more food or drinks, and some tables were already being cleaned. By 8:40 pm, the buffet was being packed away, which felt unacceptable as it was meant to run until 9 pm. Service was inconsistent throughout our stay. Some staff were great, but others—especially at the bar—were inattentive. Light lunch orders often took 50–60 minutes, and on more than one occasion drinks were forgotten entirely, even when we were sitting right in front of the bar. Staff were apologetic, but we often had to repeat ourselves. On a positive note, the front desk staff were excellent—friendly, efficient, and helpful.

Staff were excellent!!! Amenities and infrastructure, the layout of the room (construction) made me fill we were in the most calm place surrounded the beautiful trees and garden. A 2 minutes walk from the beach.

We enjoyed our 7 night stay. The room was plain & clean, I had the best sleep there. The breakfast was nice; with a variety to choose from. Staff were helpful and accommodating. The pool was nice and clean. Right opposite the beach with plenty of beach chairs. Close to a shop, laundry & massage. Favourite restaurants near by: Bella Italia- lovely food. The massages at the hotel were lovely, especially the foot reflexology. The beach massages were also great. I’d happily stay there again.

The room was basic. Soulless. No art on the walls or colour. The cloth at foot of bed had stains so I took it off. The bed itself was comfortable. The room was spacious and had a large balcony. I never a hot shower in the 6 days I was there. Tepid at best. The bathroom counter was covered in ants every day. I get that it’s a tropical climate but I’ve been travelling in Bali for 5 weeks without this problem. I rented a bicycle and the steering was crooked and the lock didn’t work so I couldn’t park it and go swimming or shopping. I tried the restaurant once but the quinoa salad was the worst I have been served anywhere. Ever. So I never ate there again. At least they didn’t charge me when I refused to eat it. The hotel is nicely located on the beach and walking trail. The fee for their laundry service is outrageous “only 350”. I’ve had my laundry done a couple times here- 20/kg - everything I owned done for 100. I don’t advise prepaying for food and drinks (1,500,000 r on credit card) until you try the food and drinks. Checking out they said it would take 2-3 weeks to reverse the charges. Personally I would not stay here again.

Yes, the room was always thoroughly cleaned. We had fresh towels every day. Room spotless, cannot fault the cleanliness. The amenities like the pools were a great relief from the heat and humidity. Staff super friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was very affordable. Aircon was great.

Lovely hotel right on the beach, rooms were big nice hot showers, slipper and dressing gowns in the room, lots of choice at breakfast. Staff really helpful and always ready with a smile. There are bikes for hire very cheaply and a Lovely ride along the beach Would recommend

Nice hotel right on the beach, lovely staff, beautiful gardens, constantly cleaning. Room big with everything you could need. Lots of choice at buffet breakfast. Fire dance and sea food bbq night very expensive by Bali standards. Plenty of sun beds on the beach and round both pools. On the whole a lovely stay.

Freindly staff. The rooms were a bit dated but they were kept clean.

Mecure was great. Staff, facilities, breakfast all great. We stayed before, we came back, we will stay again.

I had a room right at the back of the property which was disappointing considering I booked an Executive room. If you aren’t good with insects then request a room off the ground as mine had millipedes on the floor constantly. I left my charger in the room stupidly but more disappointing was that when I contacted them the say day they said that housekeeping didn’t find it, which seems impossible. The quests using the tennis court were also loud early morning so that’s another consideration. All the staff were friendly but overall the service at the bar there is super slow and inattentive, although in fairness we found that in much of Sanur.

Great place to stay in and very convenient location, breakfast is great and staff friendly. The property could use some renovation in the rooms. Overall great stay!

Sehr große Frühstücksauswahl, sehr schöne, gepflegte Anlage mit 2 Pools, Kinderpool. Eigener Strandbereich an sehr schönem Strand, vereinzelt Müll an Strand und im Meer. Handtücher für Pool und Strand können kostenlos geliehen werden.

After a few hiccups, the staff were very helpful and made our stay wonderful. The resort is beautiful, situated in peaceful area. Can’t wait to revisit again

Bodde i connectingrum deluxe. 210 säng som var väldigt skön. Rummet var rent men slitet. Hotellet var överlag slitet men fint. Frukost bra för att för att vara bali med bra äggstation. Personalen snäll och hjälpsam. Barnen 2.5år älskade fiskarna i lobbyn, lekrummet och lekplatsen vid havet. Väldigt uppskattat med gratis vatten varje dag.

De accommodatie is authentiek, maar de kamers moeten nodig worden gerenoveerd.

Nice location, staff are lovely but the hotel is in need of some repairs and upgrades. My room had a giant water stain on the roof, the aircon smelt like mold and the sheets stained. That said the staff are fantastic and so nice.

The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful, nothing is too much bother for them, the hotel is extremely quiet and a great place to wind down and chill and is only metres from the beach and a short walk to the local bars, restaurants and shops
