New Town Hotel

Helaas was erbij één bed de lakens niet schoon. Het ontbijt van de kaart was uitstekend. Bij de buffet mistte we wel wat meer soorten brood en wat verschillende soorten beleg zoals kaas en kipfilet of gerookte zalm. De locatie was prima, alles op loop afstand. We hebben genoten van ons verblijf.

This was a very disappointing stay. Booked this for a short family trip and was really surprised by the problems here: - The floors are all deeply slanted. Not sure if this is a foundation issue with the old building or it just needs extensive repairs, but the floors are so slanted that walking up the stairs on the third floor feels extremely disorienting, same with walking across our room - The water pressure in the rooms was abysmal. Took forever to get a shower and was unsatisfactory. - The carpet in our room had red stains all over and was sticky. - The ceiling above our shower was moldy and falling off - The bathtub/shower tub was a cheap plastic that makes popping sounds when you standing in the shower - The breakfast in the lobby is insanely overpriced and absolutely terrible quality. We waited 50 minutes exactly to get one Scottish breakfast, one salmon plate, and one bowl of oats… And the food was awful. Cost? ~47 GBP - There are no lifts, so have fun carrying your luggage up slanted stairs - There is no aircon in the rooms and the windows are frail and dangerous to open since they have only small, desperately in need of repairs This place feels like it was recently purchase, flipped cheaply, and is now acting like a proper hotel. Do not recommend.

Our stay at hotel was lovely, very near to everything

The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and very clean. Gorgeous view from 107. The sash window didn’t close properly but it was nice to have a small amount of fresh air. The breakfast was very tasty. Loved the porridge with the hidden strawberries and the Vegetarian breakfast was delicious. A nice central hotel too for the town and quiet too. The stairs were an initial challenge for me, but by end of the two night stay, it did wonders for my energy! Would definitely stay again, a hidden gem!

Breakfast was cooked fresh to order, lovely staff and excellent accommodation, within easy walking distance to all the main attractions, would recommend.

Trevlig personal, fina rum, rent och välstädat. Tvål/schampo/lotion luktade mycket gott.

Overall excellent hotel. Spotless, staff were so helpful. Breakfast was a lovely experience with very good quality and service. So close to the Playhouse !! We had an excellent overnight stay and would def recommend, great value for money.

Clean, spacious and well equipped room - had everything i needed for a comfortable stay, and a comfy bed. Perfect location for city centre and Waverley station. Wouldnt be suitable for those who needed accessibility support due to old building limitations - no lifts. A little noisy at times - could maybe improve sound proofing on room doors and between floors, but didnt spoil my visit. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast with cooked vegetarian option. Would definitely stay here again / recommend.

The updated rooms were clean and well designed. We appreciated the attention to detail from the choice of toiletries available to the bed comfort and right number of pillows. The staff was courteous and helpful.

Agréable, central, confortable

Dyr frokost og liten porsjon,lite utvalg av brødmat og pålegg,litt smakløst. Harde puter, ellers fint rom,men det var kaldt på badet. Renhold var bra. Flott hotell og beliggenheten. Personale var vennlig og hjelpsomme, men til tider følte du at var litt til bry. Hotellet ville vært veldig mye bedre om frokosten var bedre. Var ikke heis på opp til rommet, så greit å være ops på dette. Fin atmosfære med flott tapet. Dyrt rom med tanke på pris, ville forventet bedre frokost. Alt i alt helt greit. Hadde ikke heis til rommet, så

Great central location. Everything you need from a small boutique hotel

Beautiful lobby, clean and spacious room, great location. The only downside is that there is no elevator. If you have a lot of luggage I wouldn't recommend it.

The location in Edinburgh’s New Town just a few minutes walk from Waverley Station is perfect. The room I stayed in, despite being a basement room, was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The only slight negative is the lack of a lift and many stairs.

Die Lage des Hotels ist absolut super. Das Personal ist bezaubernd und super freundlich. Ein tolles Hotel wir würden jederzeit wieder dort buchen.
