No 6 West Coates

We had a nice stay, the hotel is very well located and the structure is very pretty. The downside was that is quite cold, as the windows in our room were quite old and the heating had some problems. We contacted the structure and they solved the heating issue quite fast, which was nice. The staff had been very helpful throughout. I might suggest maybe to provide more options for breakfast, as there was not much choice if one can't have sweets or milk. Maybe some bread would have been nice or fruits. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but there's room for improvement

Mødte aldrig personalet. Rengøringen var sløset. Bi endte på et værelse, hvor vinduet var gået i stykker, så det trak ind. Dertil kommer at radiatorene ikke virkede.

Great place to stay!

I chose this place because of the photos on the official website and it didn't disappoint. The rooms were clean and presentable, there was a TV very well positioned in front of the bed, and an outdoor patio to get some fresh air. I only have two criticisms: there's no receptionist or manager to greet you; we only saw a maintenance worker who answered a few questions and that was it. The second criticism is the bathroom. Although very nice, it didn't have a vent; it trapped odors after use, and there was condensation after a hot shower. The price isn't bad at all considering its proximity to Hyadmarket station.

Nagyon hideg volt a szobában hiába ment a fűtés az ablaknal jött be a hideg és a szél. Nem küldték el előre a kódokat így a bejutás se volt túl egyszerű 10 percet vártunk az ajtó előtt mert a csengőre senki se jött ki telefonos segítséggel oldottuk meg végül. Borzasztó fertőtlenítő szag volt az egész épületben is és a szobában is. És a folyosóról egész éjszaka beszűrődött a feny.

Arrivé en automatique clair et facile. Personnel agréable. Silencieux dans sa globalité. Bémol sur les finitions, fuite d'eau (joins moisis par exemple) Simple vitrage ce qui entraine de la condensation donc non isolé ni du bruit ni du froid. (cependant le chauffage rattrape cela)

War OK, großes Zimmer und großes Bad. Bett war gemütlich. Die Einrichtung ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und schräg zusammengestückelt. Die Fotos haben deutlich mehr versprochen, als ich letztendlich bekommen habe, aber im großen und ganzen war die Unterkunft ok. Check in und Check Out per Schlüssel Tresor. Lief super einfach und reibungslos.

Lovely old building close to Haymarket Station. Only negative is no o site parking.

The beds are awful. It is like an air matress. You will sink and be uneven. It is an old house, it is musty smelling. It is very hands off. Only service was to replace towels and clean the wastebasket out. Ither than that, you were on your own. I did like having access to cups, dishes, etc when i needed them and the nespresso and water was nice. Loved that it was about a 10min walk to Haymarket. It was easy to get in with directions and to get my key

Bien situé et chambre spacieuse mais un problème de capacité d’eau chaude est venu entacher notre séjour.

The customer service is non-existant, the room had left over leggings from the previous guests in the cuppboard, the common area barely had ustencils to use and the disgwasher rack was always full of dirty dishes, the fridges are dirty or full of ice. I had to explained to fellow guests how to use the front door twice, one of thwm hadn't been able to use the front door on his own for 3 days and he wasn't able to receive propper customer service either when he tried. This property has potential but you need at least a guest services manager on site from 9 to 5 or 10 to 6 to welcome guests, answer their questions, receive and keep their luggage and supervise the housekeeping staff.

Not too far to walk from Haymarket station and set back off the busy main road. Entry is via a system I had not previously encountered, so took me a while to become accustomed to it. A free 'grab and go' breakfast was included. A pleasant surpirse.

If you are on a budget, than this is a perfectly reasonable place to stay. 10-15 minutes walk to Haymarket Station, on a good bus route. The breakfasts offered are free and adequate. Cereal, coffee, pastries etc. Located close to Murrayfield, and the Water O Leith Walkway. There is no front of house staff, so I cannot comment on their service. My bins were cleaned daily, but i'm not sure what other cleaning my room experienced during my stay. The one downside was the noise from the road at night. Even with wearing earplugs, the traffic and nearby trains do make a racket. Partly, this is because my window was terribly old and couldn't keep any excess noise out. If you are on a budget, and don't feel the need for a cooked breakfast every morning, this is a decent place to stay.
