It’s a beautiful hotel and breakfast was amazing. But the staff was racist. When I checked in, the girl at the counter charged me 500€ for deposit just because I am Asian! On the website of hotels.com said deposit 50€! And when I checked out, another male staff asked me why do I paid 500€ for deposit!!!??? Overall it’s a beautiful hotel but I can’t believe this happened to me and I am only hoping now that I can get my deposit back!!! I could have argued with the girl but I don’t want this stupid thing ruined my trip.

ヴィトウシャ大通りの手前に位置していて、遺跡や寺院も近くにあり、とても良い立地と部屋も綺麗で快適でした。

Centrally located to main sightseeing areas, and next to Serdika train station which is convenient. Staff not overly friendly or helpful. Room is neat, but dusty in some areas. Had issues with the curtain and bathroom door not being able to be closed. Maintenance was quickly dispatched which was great. He fixed the curtain, but looked at the bathroom door and said 'big job', then walked off. He never came back to fix it the next day. Had an issue with a double booking being made due to a third party website glitch which resulted in me being charged twice for identical bookings made for the same dates. Had alot of issues trying to get refund from the hotel (who were adamant that they weren't going to refund the duplicate booking charge as it was a 'non-refundable' booking. Yes, I understand what this means - however, I'm appalled that a "five" star hotel is so greedy that they chose to keep the small amount (around $210 AUD) for the booking over showing some good will and making an exception when they can clearly see it's been a double booking error by the agency website. Staff at reception NOT HELPFUL at all - they kept giving me the runaround eg. see reservation team, they're not working on weekends, talk to the agency instead etc. Still have not received refund from hotel or agency. This will surely cost the hotel more in lost revenue due to word of mouth & poor reviews from myself in future

sehr gute Lage. Rezeptionsmitarbeiter zwar freundlich , aber überfordert historisches Ambiente , aber renoviert und modern den Anforderungen eines 5* Hotel angepaßt !! Frühstück sehr gut und reichhaltig

El hotel aparenta ser un lugar elegante, céntrico y lujoso, fue una decepción, el aire acondicionado no funcionaba, el teléfono de la habitacion para llamar a recepción y hacer referencia a cualquier falla era imposible, tienes que bajar hasta recepción y hablar con alguno de los sumamente saturados recepcionistas, la limpieza diaria era mala, no habia lugar para colgar las toallas, el closet era un simple tuvo a la vista, me cambie de hotel y Armonía de estar en Sofia mejoró, los asesores parecen los del hundido Titanic, el gimnasio es feo, no inspira a hacer un buen entrenamiento.

Super flott hotell 2 min i fra metro stasjonen, nydelig rom med gratis god kaffe på rommet, mye og se rett utfor hotellet mengder av restauranter og butikker av alle slag. Alle typer kollektiv transport rett utfor døren nesten. Bor garantert her igjen når jeg er i Sofia

Its location in the very heart of the city made everything easy. I could simply take the metro from the airport and walk a few minutes to the hotel. Sofia's metro system is clean, efficient, inexpensive, and surprisingly easy to navigate. One of the nicest surprises was the hotel's breakfast. It was generous, varied, and of excellent quality—an enjoyable way to start each day. Being based in the center also meant I could explore Sofia mostly on foot, wandering through its streets, cafés, bookshops, and hidden corners at my own pace. Having recommendations tailored to my interests made me feel less like a tourist and more like someone experiencing the city from within. For a short trip, being able to choose the right hotel, understand the public transportation system in advance, and discover places that suited my tastes made a real difference. I think I've found my ideal travel companion: ChatGPT. It doesn't carry my luggage, but it certainly helps me travel smarter.

室内は清潔であり手入れも良い。場所は地下鉄セルデイカ駅やビトシャ通りに近く非常に便利。以前からソフィアといえばバルカンホテルだったが、今でもイメージは変わらない。良いホテルです。

Just a fabulous place. Rooms can get a bit warm but shut the curtains and leave the aircon on and it was fine.

Dette hotel har helt sikkert været meget moderne og luksus da det blev bygget, men det er simpelthen ikke blevet vedligeholdt. Alt er bare lidt ramponeret. Man kan sagtens bo her og have et fint ophold og morgenmaden er glimrende. Men det er bare lidt sølle det hele. Rengøringen er heller ikke helt i top.

The hotel has obviously been renovated in recent times. The bathroom is decent with a good shower and amenities. The bed is very comfortable but one has to be an engineer to navigate the newly installed lighting options. So complicated and some architectural features in the room are dangerous as they can connect with the head. The standard of housekeeping was exceptionally low. Bed was made sloppily. Tissues and water not replaced. Dirty cups left on bedside table and toothpaste smeared over base of mirror. Toilet not cleaned properly. Hallway carpet was obviously NOT vacuumed in the 4 nights we were there. The hotel is situated very well and close to shopping transport and venues. Breakfast was very good and room service delivered fresh milk very quickly to us. However the standard of housekeeping and client relations needs a major restructuring.

Well worth it and in the heart of Sofia.

A lot of the staff doesn't speak Bulgarian. Place feels outdated. Not the luxury experience one would expect from the historical central location, former Sheraton.

I like that the hotel is in a good location. You can walk to many sites easily. The bed is comfortable, the shower is good, but the breakfast was not good. There wasn't a huge selection to choose from.

The hotel is very well located, close to historical places, restaurants, and to the subway. The personnel were very nice, especially Dmitri.
