They didn’t give us the connecting rooms that we asked with kids. The valet service is HORRIBLE made us wait 1 hour to bring our car and we missed the event that we were supposed to go to. They charge 60 plus tax for this awful valet service. Worse Fairmont we stayed at.

It took forever to get checked in. Not what I have experienced at five-star hotels in the past. There was no USB charger in the room and nothing available from the concierge. Again, a bit of a surprise. The hotel is an old, iconic hotel. That comes with pluses and minuses. The location is excellent as we wanted to go to the Byward Market and National Gallery. I think four stars for the hotel and five for the location. i have stayed there before, but it was the first time for my wife.
