Convenient location, from union train station, u can go all the way covered to the hotel. Modern design with modern art throughout, including outside of building walls. With all essentials needed for traveller. Staff at concierge are friendly and helpful.

I would agree with others that the hotel feels modern. Rooms are small, but this did not bother me as I was only there for one night. There is quite a large lounge/cafe area downstairs which is handy for sitting in although it also appears to available as a co-working space for non-guests. In a convenient location as it is across the road from the train station. There were a couple of downsides, on checking in I noticed my bathroom had not been properly cleaned - there were hairs from beard trimming on the walls and also stuck to the moisturiser dispenser. The walls are also very thin. I could hear every noise/conversation being had in the corridor and there was also a gap round my door which let light in from the corridor - not great for light sleepers.

The 4-star rating at Union Hotel is a joke and does not reflect reality. Do not book here. We arrived at 2:00 a.m. after a delayed flight with a reservation confirmed over a month in advance. Despite this, the front desk told us no room was prepared. We were forced to wait in the lobby while they hastily cleaned a room that had only just become vacant. Being told at 2:00 a.m. that a confirmed booking isn't ready is a total failure of their system. The rest of the stay was equally substandard. The Wi-Fi was non-functional the entire time, forcing me to rely on my own cellular data for essential tasks. Breakfast was poor, with low-quality food and undrinkable coffee. To top it off, the staff showed zero accountability. When I raised these issues, they dismissed me by claiming they couldn't offer compensation because I booked through Expedia. This is a pathetic excuse for a service provider. The Union Hotel is responsible for the quality of the stay regardless of how the room was paid for. They take your money but fail on the most basic hospitality standards. Stay elsewhere.

Hotel close to public transit. Easy access to everything. Tim Hortons across the street. Super clean, everything functional. Doors don’t seal, so you hear every noise in the halls and even see the light. Earplugs a must.

We took the train from Ottawa so this was a perfect location as it's very close to Union Station. It looked non-descript from the outside but as soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a significantly sized lobby / cafe / hangout space. Our room was small but super cute and trendy - very "boutique hotel-ish". We had an easy walk (~7 minutes) to Scotiabank Arena and lots of restaurant options all around us. I'll definitely stay here again next time I come to downtown Toronto.

Great design and good coffee shop

The location is really great if you arrive by train. The design is really charming. We found the scent in the lobby to be nice but a bit overwhelming, I would recommend to turn it down just a notch. Overall had a great stay, the only thing that really bugged us was the soundproofing of the rooms. We could hear everything that happened it the room next door, from the movie they watched to everytime they used the bathroom… It was a cheap stay, but for this last reason I would not go back.

Very clean and updates and also conveniently placed. Really all you need for a Toronto hotel stay.
