Hotel was good value for an overnight stay. However the premises are tired and in need of a refurbish. The bar and restaurant were understaffed and the poor staff who were working were under too much pressure consequently drinks didn’t arrive and when they did they were wrong and we had to go to the bar ourselves to rectify it. The understaffing made for a long wait between our starters and main course and we were then overcharged. Breakfast was okay.

We went for a weekend with friends Parking was good. Didn’t eat in hotel. Went local pubs. Visited Southampton and Portsmouth. Breakfast hot and regularly topped up Rooms large and nice towels and toiletries

Excellent location and staff

Parking was great. Fire alarm went off early in the morning and woke us all up. Corridor lighting was poor, security at front desk was poor

Breakfast was ok. Swimmi g pool very shallow

Great breakfast but a little limited. Ample parking, adequate room with great sized bed.

This is my third stay here and I am glad an opinion was formed by the first two as future bookings solely based on this stay my have been non-existent. I got there after the beginning of check in time but was told that my "luxury" suite was still not ready but would be so momentarily - no biggie. I got into the room which was very plush and had two double doors looking out over a nice view and allowed for some much needed air to come in as it was the hottest day of the year so far. shortly after getting in, a worker came straight into the room but fortunately I was fully clothed. She was unaware I had arrived and apologized as she lay out a robe, slippers and towels. I then checked the fridge to find out two disappointing things - 1 was that it didn't work and the second was that it had not been cleaned out as there were lots of leftover junk food which stank and needed to be disposed of straightaway. Next was the lack of sockets especially next to the bed which was annoying. Both taps on the bathroom basin leaked which meant a drop in pressure. I used the gym which was great, showered and went out to eat at a nearby pub chain. When I got back to my room, I discovered that the main radiator was on full heat and I couldn't turn it down. The one shining light of this stay was the hotel employee, Ziad. He went above and beyond providing me a fan. He came to the room and spent a good while trying to get the radiator off even though it resulted in him sweating profusely.

No hot water for showers due to a water leak the previous day! Room ok basic. Pool very small, overcrowded with families with young children

Front desk person was very friendly, informative and helpful. However, when we arrived at the pool it was unfortunately very unclean with brown scum around the water level line, someone had even scrawled in writing in the oily residue. Horrible smell around the poolside and the water so murky you couldn't see to the bottom. Room was OK, bed comfortable enough. We didn't book for dinner and got turned away, which was disappointing. Breakfast OK.

Slow in the restaurant but excellent food. Direction signs to and out of the swimming pool changing area were not clear. Otherwise very good.

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was to our liking. There was top notch service.

Lovely clean rooms. Breakfast was very nice and plenty there. Had park and stay so a very well secured venue

It was a lovely stay with my son and my partner. The room was spacious and clean. The bathrobes and slippers are nice extras. Lovely surroundings/grounds to the hotel. Staff were overall nice however when we arrived (early before our check in), the lady didn't seem friendly or pleasant at first and welcoming. When i said and acknowledged that we have arrived way early before check in, she changed her tone and was more polite. We wanted to stay a the hotel to relax in the bar before check in but there was no staff at the bar. However i would definitely stay here again.

Needs update

My friend and I enjoyed our stay although due to staff illness our treatment times were moved and one if mine was not available and I have not yet received an email confirming the £79.00 I paid for a treatment as credit as this could not be accommodated on the day. This was discussed at the spa reception.

The spa was awful - the steam room stank of mould and was unuseable to us and all other guests and the pool water quality was so poor you couldn’t see in the water. The towels smelt heavily of used treatment oils. I complained as very disappointing

Very nice stay

Lots of parking and easy. Friendly staff. Good range of breakfast, a little higgledy piggledy layout and had to ask for supplies to be replenished as often empty but done quickly. Nice relaxing emvironment. A range of activities, easy access by car to shopping. If a pool table was installed this would be a great staycation.

I understand the hotel was very fine in its day, the problem seems to be that its day was a long time ago and nothing has really changed inside. Everything feels very old, and not in a charming way. It feels like the bare minimum amount of staff are in place at any one time to reduce outgoings, there was no information about how to access the pool and gym facilities, either from staff or in room info (gents changing rooms closed when I was there which added to my uncertainty). Nothing was terrible, but nothing was particularly good either

Same music on repeat in bar. Which is overpriced. Menu in restaurant was not diverse and is so expensive for was it is. £21 for a burger but the chair you sit at your table on is broken and tables all wobbly. It’s just a joke.
