Rooms were actually big compared to Auckland airport hotel.

The property is well located but rooms are tired. In need of refurbishment. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Good location Property needs to be upgraded

Before coming here, I had mixed opinions about the place due to some reviews I had gone through but it was an overall wonderful experience. I was visiting here along with my university delegation of senior management and they all were happy with their experience and quality of hotel.

We asked for a better view and got charged $30/night. And yet on the lift, it says ask our friendly staff for a free upgrade. Seems to be double standard.

Very central, walkable, to everything light rail just down stairs. It is geting old and needs a refurb bad. But a cheap bed for the night its perfect. You wont have a view of Darling Harbour once the new buildings are built unfortunately

I was happy for one night stay everything was fine

Room was so basic. TV service is really poor. Bathroom in real need of upgrading. No breakfast included in the price is a bit of a rip-off.

Jaded hotel, grumpy staff but in an excellent location. Bathrooms ok but it all looked a bit neglected - the bar terrace area was nice. Shame it hadn’t been refurbished.

For this hotel that it is fairly price to stay.

Tiny little shoebox of a room, not cheap either. Very noisy, thin walls... someone's phone alarm went off at 6am and was not turned off for 20 minutes, then went off again for another 10 minutes and woke us up. Who does that?? Also very unimpressed with the woman at reception. Went down to purchase a bottle of water from there (there's a sign that says 'purchase at reception'). Tried to send us over to the cafe, rolled her eyes and sighed when pointed the sign out. She was clearly too full of her own self importance to serve us. Location-wise it was quite good but based on the above I don't think we'd waste our money here again.

Got upgraded to a Darling Harbour room. It was needed after a long and arduous check in.

I believe the breakfast bainmaries were far too cold and need to be considerably hotter. When the food within them (sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs etc.) is placed on cold plates it is eaten barely warm. Must present the food hotter…

Close to icc

If you want smelly rooms, aircon not working, poor ventilation, grubby carpets, grubby bathrooms, a crappy buffet breakfast, then this is your best option. Will never book ibis again.

Overall: Good value for price. Room & Bathroom: Rooms and bathroom are clean and you have the option to ask for room cleaning daily. Of the toiletries provided with the room, it's important to note that there is no toothbrush or toothpaste, so make sure to bring your own. Even with the door closed, you'll still be able to hear things outside the corridor like doors closing and footsteps. The plumbing is a little loud and a little dated, but water pressure in showers and toilet are good. Location: It's close to the Star Casino, Sydney Fish Markets, and ICC, so quite convenient if you're doing something around that area. It was great to have a drink with a view. Bar: The bar staff are really nice and will take good care of you. Drinks are affordable and made quickly. For my two night stay I didn't bother going out for a drink and just ended my nights at the hotel bar. The area directly below the hotel is currently a construction site, so there's an unobstructed view of Darling Harbour that lets you see Centrepoint very clearly from the outdoor part of the bar. Location: Easy access to Darling Harbour and it's attractions. Pyrmont Bridge, that connects the two sides of the harbour, is right by the hotel, letting you basically walk from Pyrmont to Town Hall in a straight line. Plenty of Lunch and Dinner options around Cockle Bay Wharf and Darling Harbour as well. Ferries aren't too far away either.

Very walkable perfect location

Property was great location. No pool or gym otherwise highly recommend for basic accommodation. Restaurant and bar good.

Staff was very nice and helpful
