ibis Sydney Darling Harbour

The whole experience was excellent. Visiting a convention, the facilities were everything we needed. The staff were all very helpful and a pleasant feature of the experience. Peter, who was on the front desk in the afternoon/evening is a true asset and a big reason the Ibis gets such a good rating.

The Ibis is a great location near to the Convention Centre where I was attending an event. The rooms are well appointed with most things that I expect in a hotel room. The downstairs bar/food area was great for meeting friends after our event. For the price it was an easy place to stay and navigate around Sydney.

We found the rooms perfect for our stay. We were going to spend a short time in our rooms, so having a simple, smaller room was perfect.

While the hotel staff were consistently polite and helpful, the condition and maintenance of the room were unacceptable and significantly impacted my stay. Upon arrival, the bed sheets had visible stains, raising immediate concerns about cleanliness. The in-room refrigerator produced persistent loud noise, disrupting sleep on multiple nights. In addition, we experienced a complete loss of hot water for an entire day, which caused considerable inconvenience. The shower faucet also made loud and unpleasant noises during use, indicating poor maintenance. .

Good quality, affordable accommodation at Darling Harbour.

The only good things about this stay were Patty on reception (who was lovely to us) and the breakfast was satisfactory. Otherwise, the property was rundown, the room was unclean, blinds didn't block out outside lights at night, no amenities (such as a gym etc) and worst of all there was no hot water for a shower (which many other people were complaining about upon checkout). Would not recommend and would not stay here again, may as well stay at a backpackers hostel!

Good spot for location while on business Basic room, bring air plugs as walls very thin. Value good, rooms dated and bathroom had chips in tiles. A bit to be expected from Ibis and price paid. Staff friendly, dining and bar area nice though didn’t drink or eat there.

The rooms were standard, old but versatile - has the basics and good for the price. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was awesome, very good variety! The bar staff were cool and friendly, she even let me have my juice at discounted rate because I was short changed. Love that there was a big screen available to watch the NRL. Thanks team Ibis. I will definitely be back again.

Great location with a reasonable rent! An eye catching view of Darling Harbour!

Helpful reception stafd and cleanroom. But the TV was not working in the morning for the latest news before I checked out at 7.30am. Thank you.

General level

Everything was old but we paid for a view at Darlington harbour not knowing they are building a huge apartment in front of the Ibis. Saw nothing of the light show in the harbour from our room

The property is within walking distance to Darling Harbour. Room was clean, tge breakfast was very good. Most of all the staff were more than helpful.
