We really enjoyed our stay at IBIS Darling Harbour. Our room had a really nice view out to Darling Harbour and the city. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast down in the Restaurant was really good value for money and there were quite a few Gluten Free Options.

The hotel is in need of a deep cleaning and updating. The lobby has been recently updated and looks very nice and modern. However the rooms and hallways haven't. The carpet through out the room and hallways were VERY dirty. The bathroom tile and chalking was old and dirty as well. Breakfast wasn't working $30. The staff was very helpful and nice. The area was nice and had a lot to see and doing within walking distance. I wouldn't recommend until it has been updated.

We were 7 nights booked via sydney new years eve which was as expected very expensive - but worth due to nearby infrastructure. Our standard room on the 1st floor was a bit small for 2 pax and room window has no curtain, just a moveable shade so people can watch from outside the street easily while window shade is opened. The breakfast is fantastic and tasty and for an adfotionslly fee for aud 29 the monry worth. Avoid more higher rooms with "harbour view" because they are building a huge hotel/parking lot, so there is no fully harbourview

The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The view out the window was fantastic, especially at night. However, the shower base was very slippery. The reception staff were not friendly. There was also some confusion with the daily cleaning, and with the breakfast booking.
