Very very lovely. And the staff super helpful and nice. The breakfast is very nice too

The room was neglected and cleanliness wasn’t great. We were first given a room that someone had already checked into. There was a very strong smell of dog in our room. The parking was a nightmare. Parking was offsite, in a public car park. Where we parked with our car loaded with suitcases.That evening we noticed there were cars parked in the loading parks and EV charging parks. When we enquired why we couldn’t park there, one staff member said it’s not allowed, and the guests in the parking will be fined. A different member of staff said the hotel has a policy that if the parks are empty after 8pm guests may park there.

- wonky shelf led to glass breaking in bathroom sink - no phone to call for clean up - went to reception and no one was able to clean up (another room was offered but we were settled, unpacked and getting ready for a night out in York. - phone wasn't put in room when notified - therefore couldn't call for a bath mat or room service later - leaky shower curtain frame - mold in bathroom. Rusty metal around bathroom appliances (mirror etc). - but lovely big and comfortable room apart from those issues 😉

Very helpful receptionist nothing was too much trouble the same applies to the restaurant staff & theaid who came to clean our room

Cant knock the staff i actually feel so sorry for them how they must deal with abuse daily when its not there fault. Double tree by the hilton needs to put money into the place, as there was no heating working in the rooms rubish and beer bottles left outside our door on arivel even tho room was ready for us. Stains all over carpet. Plug in heater to compensate for no heating which when gets hot turns off so at end of nov wen it was -2 didnt help whatsoever. Shame really as staff were lovely. All got resoveled in the end and got dealt with brilliantly by expedia would i stay again? Yes if they put money in to the hotel as its not worth what we paid but location is amazing

It would be good if the hotel was advertised as being positioned in the side of a busy road. We had a room right in the roadside and didn’t get a wink of sleep all night. Also our room was very cold. There was a small plug in heater which we put on as soon as we got in room but this didn’t make much difference for the small amount of time we were there. The room itself was clean, staff were friendly and breakfast was excellent value for money

The room was lovely, good size family room. The reception staff were very friendly. Would be good if you coould provide a complimentary water bottle.

Rooms very tired, breakfast was cold and had been stood for a while.

Lovely hotel, great location in the centre of town. Staff were happy to take our bags, when we arrived well ahead of check in, in fact all the staff whether in reception, breakfast or in the bar were polite and professional. Thought the rooms were excellent and very comfortable, huge comfy beds and spotless. Just enjoyed the layout of the hotel very relaxing with a nice atmosphere, overall an excellent stay and will definitely be back.

Room not cleaned after first night - are these rooms forgotten because they are not in the main hotel? Breakfast - TBC - Location of hotel in York - Perfect! 20 min. Walking distance from York Central Train Station. LV coming to York - Great Christmas Atmosphere - Markets, Lights & Cathedral Bells.

Staff was lovely and the location is great. Apart from that, the room we've stayed in was quite dreadful. Mold on the walls, shower held together by glue, heating not working, scratched up headboard... Clearly not up to standards.

Dropped the bags off at 1pm, huge queue to do so and only 1 staff member on desk, apparently there was staff sickness. This took 30 mins of waiting. Arrived back to hotel 530pm to check in, waited 40 mins in the queue to do so, as yet again, only 1 staff member. Really difficult as my daughter is autistic and very unregulated. There was noone extra to tell and i would have lost my place in the queue. Finally got room key, Dropped off bags and went tp bar for a drink. Terrible mistake. We were next in lone and the bar was quiet when we arrived. The ladies in front ordered a few drinks then the computer stopped working when they were trying to pay. During this 10 minutes, severl men arrived at the other side of the bar. When finished, the young male bartender went on to serve all the men waiting, even though me and my 11 year old daughter had been waiting 25 minutes at this point. It was disgusting, i honestly felt invisible, which I wasn't as my daughter was shouting out and stimming for everyone to see, yet we were still ignored, im guessing because im a woman. Terrible service and very disappointed when i had paid very close to £300 for one night!

It certainly wasn’t a “deluxe” room. What we paid for a perfectly average room with a big bed. The room was somewhat dismal and dark with very poor lighting. There was 1 bathrobe (for 2 of us) no shower gel, the shaving light didn’t work in the bathroom. They only had one member of staff on reception on a busy Saturday near Christmas for everyone trying to check in , which left a rather long queue through the entrance foyer (same happened at checkout) Just a very expensive “average” hotel. Not really what you’d expect from a “Hilton” in our opinion.

Room was clean, needed a few bits touching up. Wall plug coming out the wall on the window and toilet roll holder wobbly. Didn’t have much involvement with staff but the gentleman on the desk was welcoming on arrival
