Absolutely could not fault the staff. The room was clean and we enjoyed being close to York St John University and the shopping hub of the city centre. The food was okay although at breakfast there was sometimes bits missing or run out- no hot water for tea, run out of sausages, etc…. The staff were very attentive and the little texts to check in on us during our stay were lovely.

In a really good position for getting into the city, with many bars and restaurants very close by, parking onsite is a little expensive (in my opinion) £25 per night. We found a parking spot 5 minutes walk away for £9 overnight, other than that definitely recommend this hotel.

I was given a room on first floor , but then discovered I had 3 more flights of stairs to get into my loft style room ,the air conditioning couldn't cool the room down and it was very uncomfortable even with a fan.

Brilliant location for York. Room was clean, tidy and spacious for 2 people. Air con was not working, but fans provided by reception.
We did manage to secure parking, but there is limited parking first come first serve. Make sure you look up back up options and don't rely on the hotel parking.
I would definitely stay here again, highly reccomend.

It’s seen better days. The room I stayed in was very rundown. I was constantly disturbed on the Sunday night by rowdy guests in and out of rooms on my corridor - the doors are the type that slam themselves shut. The reception and breakfast areas are well-maintained, the staff were polite and the breakfast was fairly extensive and very nice.

We were in the Townhouse next door. Wifi not available, aircon broken, room was hot and very noisy, and noisier if windows are open as it is right on the street. Breakfast was just okay. Staff were friendly and mostly helpful. I would not stay here again. I expected better from Hilton.

Beautiful city. Central location. Tons of restaurants and shopping nearby. Welcoming and helpful staff. Could use a shelf in bathroom, since nowhere to place change of clothes or toiletries. Water from shower splashes everywhere. Otherwise great!

Hilton continues to decline. This was a family room clearly had problems with mould and mildew. AC not working and perhaps the worst bed for lumpiness I have ever seen. The door to the corridor for the room was also barely holding on for life. Just. Simply. Awful.

Lovely hotel in communal areas. Bedroom and rest of hotel tired and repairs are visible furniture and carpets in room old and warn out. Ripped off at the bar when asked for a glass of wine and was charge £14 whoch when you ask for their cheapest is a little extreme. Noisy with carts moving cleaning and bins outside at 5.30am woke everyone up.

Vi fick först ett rum där AC och wifi inte fungerade. Klagade och fick ett nytt rum som var lite mindre men det funkade bra. Frukost var tråkigaste hittills på resan. Lyhört från dem ovan oss. Skulle välja ett annat hotell om vi återvänder.
