Cute property. Well maintained. Staff courteous and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and simple, not many options. Rooms clean and beautifully decorated. Close to restaurants walkable felt safe in the area. The view was magnificent. You could walk out directly to the beach, which was just a few steps away. View were welcomed with a bottle of champagne on arrival. Beds were comfortable. My only complaint is the mosquitoes, but the staff used citronella candles and offered bug repellent lotion/sprays. We visited in September, but apparently that is a breeding season of the mosquitoes. I don’t know if some sort of mosquito repellent sprays by pest control could be done. But overall pleasant stay. Will definitely come back and stay at the property..

This was an amazing stay in this Boutique Hotel.. The service was amazing, the room was amazing, the view was amazing and Sophia was especially amazing. If your looking for a place that offers peace and serenity this is it! I didnt know I could go 3 days without a tv.. You will not be dissapointed.. I cant wait to visit again.

This was an amazing stay in this Boutique Hotel.. The service was amazing, the room was amazing, the view was amazing and Sophia was especially amazing. The place itself was beautiful, but the beach was dirty and smelled terrible, so I couldn’t even use it. On top of that, the breakfast situation was a complete disappointment. I booked this hotel because it advertised breakfast included, yet when I asked, they only offered me coffee and said I had to pay for everything else. That’s misleading and unacceptable. Because of this, I refused to eat any meals at the hotel. The prices were ridiculously high for tourists. Even the taxis arranged by the hotel were outrageously expensive, clearly taking advantage of visitors. Yes, the location is nice, but I would never recommend this hotel. I wasted a lot of money in a very short time and left feeling completely frustrated. Definitely not worth it.

Alaya was so peaceful and wonderful. What better be to stay than on the beach. Food was great. Breakfast lunch and dinner options right on the property. Free pool access to Alquimia which was next door.

Property is lovely. Air conditioning for me is not adequate. Room does not get cold enough to sleep in the mid-July heat of low to mid 90's - passable but not comfortable.

I’m sad writing this review as our week at Alaya has come to an end. It was a magical trip highlighted with the most beautiful hotel and the kindest most wonderful staff. Silvestre, Daniel, Mitsubishi, Stephan, Jonathan, Hugo, Macario and everyone else added to the magic! At the press of a button our every need was attended to with a smile and they made our trip so special. We travel frequently and love exploring new destinations but we already agreed we will be back next year. The beach, the room and the location all could not have been any better. We dined at Michelin rated restaurants as well as food trucks, all walking distance and it was all amazing! Thank you to the lovely staff and we will see you again next year.
