DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Spa Chester

I wish I have chance to visit the hotel but I didn't due to booking mistake. The Hotels.com and hotel staff are helping me for the cancellation refund and I hope to have further progress since there is not much new so far.

Great location and facilities, top stay.

A/C was a little noisy. Nice to have a fridge in room. Some fixtures need updating. Shower head sprayed towards shower door and you couldn't move it up either, it kept sliding back down. Staff seemed stuffy. Strange place to get into, seemed like there was only one main door. Inconvenient when you have alot of luggage as you have to walk far, it gets busy

Breakfast Complaint I would like to make a formal complaint regarding the breakfast service on the first day of my stay. Despite paying approximately £400 for breakfast, the experience was extremely disappointing. Due to poor organisation and a lack of available tables, we had to wait a considerable amount of time before being seated. By the time we were able to access the breakfast buffet, there was very little food remaining. The overall service fell well below the standard I would expect, particularly given the amount paid. The only member of staff who provided a positive experience was Semih, who was professional, helpful and appeared to be doing everything possible under the circumstances. As a result of the poor service and the fact that we were unable to enjoy the breakfast we had paid for, I would like to request a full refund for the first day’s breakfast. I look forward to your response.

Love staying at the Doubletree but this visit was spoilt by inconsiderate guests..Lots of noise in the corridor during the late evening and early morning..shouting and singing. This lead to a poor night sleep.

It was ok but staff were not really helpful and amenities rather expensive or non existent.

Great hotel, friendly staff and great amenities. Few issues in the restaurant but staff sorted them all out with no bother. Will definitely book to stay again.

Fantastisk personal, fina rum och sköna sängar. Frukosten var inte värt pengarna och kaffet var riktigt dåligt.

Nice room, but the bath didn’t drain making the shower a bit of a paddling experience, but friendly staff and good food. £20 to use the pool felt a bit pricy but overall a nice hotel.

Check in was a bit antiquated. Paper and pen in the 21st century. Also 2 reception desks but with unequal queues. Bend linen a bit starchy, and of course they all use that industrial cleaner from sketchleys which smells terrible The towels smelt terrible as well It really should be that the linen and towels are cleaned with a domestic soap powder like aerial or bold, or with a conditioner like comfort so that customers get the wow factor of the room smelling like home rather than a hospital.

The room was lovely, spacious and clean with a nice bathroom and lovely shower! The receptionist were really nice though the staff in the garden room (restaurant) could improve. The male staff were pleasant enough though some of the female staff need to Improve their customer service.

Disappointed that the EV charger was not available as this is the main reason I stay at the property

Room was lovely and bed very comfy, bathroom nice. Nice welcome at reception. Communal areas quite cold. Bar and dining area was a little corporate and soul less for my liking. Breakfast wasn’t great, porridge tasted off, only decaf option was an instant sachet, fruit juices were overly sweet and cooked was average, good bread selection though. I would stay here again but I would eat in town or at the local pubs in Christleton
