Stayed only one night for a nearby wedding. The hotel is perfectly clean and proper but could do with some modernisation. The staff were great and especially Paul who went above and beyond what you’d normally expect.

Being able to use the SPA after a long journey. Having a water milk & biscuits station in the corridor is an excellent idea . Bed very comfortable. Amenities in bathroom very nice.

Overall, for the price we paid for the room, it was just ok. We paid for an ensuite but it was only a panel of frosted glass between the toilet and the bed, and the glass doors didnt seal closed. Really disappointed with this feature of our room. Staff and other amenities were fine, again, just expensive. Spa wasn’t included with the room.

Room was spacious and clean but furniture and shower need updating. Height of shower couldn’t be changed. Not enough lighting in the room. We couldn’t turn our air con unit on or off as the button was faulty. Maintenance came and turned it on but we were unable to turn it off later so room was cold. They said it was one of the rooms it needed repairing in but they were struggling to do that as the room was frequently occupied by guests. The beds and pillows were lovely & comfortable. There was no safety deposit box in the room. Breakfast was nice and plenty of choice of hot and cold food. We were staying there as guests at a wedding. The cheese & biscuits served as a snack in the evening were lovely with various different cheeses available but no knives or plates were provided resulting in guests using their fingers - plates and cutlery were provided when we asked for them but should have been provided as the food was served.
