We loved our stay at Ruby Zoe, its steps from the notting hill market and homes. It was very quiet, clean, and had fun decor. We enjoyed the speaker in the room it had great sound! The bed was comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only negative was they didn’t have a smart TV.

Carlos at front desk got us our rooms over three hours early which was HUGE as it was our first time in London and we didn’t really know what to expect. It was so nice to be able to check in and get into the room before exploring the city.

I booked a ‘lovely room’ and ended up with an accessible room which was not ‘lovely’. The sink was below knee height, the mirror was below eye level and it had a stained white curtain instead of a shower cubicle. They refused to change to the room type I paid for as the hotel is full and i had already been in the room. There was nobody to escalate it to and IHG said Ruby hotels deal with their own issues which I didn’t understand. Therefore I had no option but to accept it in the end and change rooms the next day. The attitude of the staff was as if it was not their problem and that it was normal in London as ‘33% of rooms in London are accessible rooms’. As someone who stays in London most weeks I can confirm that is not the case as it has never happened to me before. Trading standards should investigate the scam of selling accessible rooms as standard rooms when there is a clearly separate booking type for accessible rooms. Great that they are available but I don’t want one and should be able to get the room I paid for and certainly from a reputable company like IHG. All in all for over £200 a night it was a very poor experience and I won’t be using this hotel again.

The reception staff were variable! Guy who checked us in very friendly, however the woman the next morning was very rude & abrupt. Despite having an email to confirm we had booked breakfast she refused saying this was not part of our booking and actually said the other staff were wrong. Her approach to customer service was very poor and would put me off booking the hotel again! The room was clean & well appointed.

Great location for visiting Notting Hill. A little pricey for what is essentially minimalist self-service in a trendy wrapper. Like they had his cool budget concept, but forgot to lower the price. ;) More of an Amsterdam Hostel vibe - which is fine if that's what you came for. For a similar price at other London hotels I had helpful staff jumping to assist with check-in, luggage, cabs and what to-do. Not so much here. I wasn't unhappy and would stay again if the price was right. It was new and clean. Breakfast was good but kind light on hot food for the price.

Left elevator was extremely slow when we went there and the 3rd elevator was out of order so they only had one elevator working; we just had to wait a little bit coming and going. Only other thought was their ADA accessible room was complete bare, no decor, no paint, no character, felt minimal and depressing, and the door was extremely heavy and hard to open and closed behind (no way to just leave it open) making getting in and out for a person with any sort of disability so much harder than it should have been.

Loved the laid-back and relaxed atmosphere. Room was incredibly quiet and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, can't remember ever having such a choice. Couple of negatives. No-one told us the room key also worked the lift. There is no in room tea/coffee. The room numbers are black on a black wall in a dim corridor which did give me problems finding my room.

Breakfast was good. Room could have been a little cooler for me but was fine for my daughter(we shared the room). Staff was exceptional especially Clyde, Carlos and Stephanie. Carlos even went and got a cake with candles, knowing it was my daughter’s birthday we had come to London from Canada to celebrate and sang happy birthday to her. He gets a gold star from us. Well done.
