I had to cut short my stay at this hotel due to a sudden family bereavement. Most hotels would not have cared and would take full payment but I was delighted and really appreciated that the hotel only took payment for nights i stayed. The location is perfect, pool and facilities top class. Staff very friendly. Because of the heartfelt nature the staff showed to me I don’t think I will ever stay anywhere else when in London.

The staff are amazing! I felt like royalty at this hotel! We were given completely goody bag with snacks upon arrival and never once did we have to carry our luggage or open a door! Absolutely great stay in the middle of Piccadilly Circus and in walking distance to everything( Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, London eye, Hyde Park and Notting Hill !) if you you don’t feel like walking, the Underground is steps away from the hotel. It’s actually a very simple system to learn! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

What is more impressed me this time is the India restaurant MADHU'S is the food which is amazing . I will have a dinner next time when I visit centre London for sure

Great location and staff—AC was an issue at first We stayed at the Dilly in mid-June and paid about $437/night, including taxes and breakfast. The location is unbeatable—just a couple minutes from the Piccadilly Circus tube station and basically across the street from Fortnum & Mason. Perfect base for exploring central London. The room was decent size for London (248 sq ft), but we had an issue with the AC. I had confirmed ahead of time that the room had central air (no individual control), but when we arrived, it wasn’t working and the windows don’t open. The room was hot and stuffy. To their credit, the duty manager sent up a good fan right away, and halfway through our stay the AC kicked on. It wasn’t cold, but it made the room comfortable enough. The bathroom was basic but fine—good hot water and heated towel rails, which helped a lot. The hotel itself is older (they mentioned a renovation coming in the fall), but it still looked presentable. The pool and sauna were nice. The bar felt a little uninspiring, but the breakfast was excellent—plenty of quality choices and attentive service. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. It’s definitely a pricey stay, but the convenience of the location and solid service helped make up for some of the shortcomings. Would stay again if the AC situation improves post-renovation.

The Dilly is in a great location. We stayed in the family room and had plenty of space. However for a 5 star hotel, it is very run down and in need of a renovation.

Old hotel with chipped paint, worn chairs in the room. WiFi signal was weak and often had to rely on cell data for service. steaming tv rarely worked. The TV would turn on in the middle of night and wake us up. Engineer came up twice and could do nothing. He said it was happening to several guests of the hotel. Great location for walking but terrible for cabs/uber due to congestion. Overpriced rooms for the condition our room was in. 1 of 2 elevators broke down for 2 days, and resulted in long waits. The gym/pool is nice. Room service was mediocre at best. I would not stay here again. Manager was not helpful when I complained.

I paid over £600pn for a suite on room only basis so I could stay with two kids. I was expecting something lovely but we got less than basic. The whole room was tired. Windows don’t open. No curtain in the living room. Bottle of water warm as just on the side. No milk for for coffees. Fridge empty. Walls we're grubby. Bathroom looks like it belongs in an old peoples home. Furniture is poor quality and the bed was an uncomfortable double. There was rubbish in the hallways. Plugs and light switches didn’t work in the room. Extra bed requested not made up. Shower leaks out all over the floor. Restaurant floors held together with tape. Breakfast counters were so gross, covered in food and juice that we walked out and went to a cafe. They made the bed but left PJs in a pile on top of the air con unit and didn’t give clean glasses. Only basic toiletries provided. The pool area was less than inviting. Very dark and run down. All in all, poor experience. Literally only positive is central location. Definitely doesn’t fit usual 5* expectations.

Gorgeous hotel in top location. However, with one elevator (out of 2) out of order, it made for long waits. Additionally, with construction project going on next door, our entire room would vibrate and shake and the noise was like it was all happening in our room on the 5th floor. Clearly this isn't the hotel's fault and glad we were only there for a short stay and weren't jetlagged and hoping for a midday rest. The room was gorgeous and beds super comfortable. Our room with 2 twin beds was big for Europe standards.

To say the hotel is tired is an understatement. Carpets stained paint peeling. Fixtures and fittings look 50+ years old. To advertise and charge as a 5 star but to offer that level is astonishing. Location outstanding and staff pleasant but the whole place needs a serious refurb

Old property that needs a complete revamp. Location is great by that doesn’t really make up for the lacklustre condition of the property. It’s closer to a 3 star hotel in its current condition. If you just need somewhere to sleep it’s fine but for that there are less expensive and better. For example a premier in. Would be higher quality than this hotel in terms of services and condition.

The hotel is lovely but the bathroom is slightly outdated and the swimming pool lighting is terrible. Some of the lights were going certain corridor smells damp and mold next to squash court. On a positive note: staffs were generally friendly and rooms were clean.
