The hotel looks amazing from the outside with a unique design. We were lucky to get a room upgrade, and we absolutely loved the room. It was very spacious, beautiful, and comfortable. Plus, it was the only hotel on our UK trip with AC, which made a big difference! We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in York.

We stayed in the Hudson Suite (room 101). it was stunning. Beautiful view of garden and York Minster. Room was massive with high ceilings. Gorgeous marble bath with separate toilet room with sink. Hotel had covered access to train station behind the hotel so even though it was raining when we left, we stayed dry. Also, even with hotel so close to the station, we never heard a train. Easy walk to all sights and restaurants. We would definitely stay again when in York.

Beautiful hotel, Good location as next door to the train station. Reception staff were very helpful and had good customer service skills. Restaurant food was good although there were very few staff on and this lessened the looked after feeling. Breakfast was good. Pool was lovely but we went about 4pm and the changing rooms were wet everywhere from use. - we were possibly just unlucky that people before us were not considerate. £22 per 24hr extra to park at the hotel. When you pay £200+ a night I would have liked that included. Would I stay again? No,

Absolutely terrible experience. We paid nearly $700 for 2 nights and this hotel was nowhere near worth the price. The lift/elevator wasn’t working, which made getting luggage up and down extremely frustrating. The AC in the room barely worked, leaving the room hot and uncomfortable the entire stay. The mattress was one of the worst I’ve ever slept on — extremely springy, worn out, and incredibly uncomfortable. On top of that, the hotel itself felt very old, dirty, and poorly maintained. There were visible stains on chairs and furniture, which made the whole place feel unhygienic. For the amount of money charged, I expected at least a clean, comfortable, and functional hotel. This place was a huge disappointment and I would definitely not stay here again.
