The room was lovely overlooking the garden. I'd ordered a fruit platter, and it was delivered to the room with a great range of fruits. A clean well appointed room supplied with a variety of teas/coffees, biscuits with a kettle and waters in the fridge. Very friendly helpful staff who supplied us with more decaf drinks as needed and help as required. We enjoyed our evening meals in Peacheys restaurant which has a large choice of meals. The hotel being next to the station, makes it an ideal place for your holiday. It is also only a few minutes walk from the centre of York and all museums, parks and shops.

Had a lovely 2 night stay. Right from when we checked in the staff were so friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble for them Hotel was beautiful especially the garden room for sitting and relaxing The bedrooms were lovely and had a view of the minster Very clean and well equipped. Hotel was right next to the railway station we drove and parking was plentiful at the hotel. Didn’t use the car at all you could walk everywhere. Would highly recommend

This grand old lady is well worth a visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful.if you are travelling by train it is very convenient, and yet the location is not too far from the old centre of the city.

Wonderful hotel, super easy from the train station - there is an entrance in the station. Really lovely room with a great bathroom and friendly staff.

The staff were very friendly and efficient.we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a suite. We did. Unfortunately the suite did not look anything like the picture they had sent us. It was adequate and comfortable but not what we were expecting

Lovely hotel. The garden lounge and restaurant were lovely. Right beside train station and ancient walls of York. Great location!! Awesome stay.

The building is beautiful and the staff made the stay immensely comforting with their willingness to help at all times.

Such a beautiful hotel

We mistakenly booked an accessible room. This was not clear on the booking. The room itself stank of damp and had damp patches on the ceiling. When we told the hotel they sent a cleaner with a small bottle of cleaning spray which was never going to do anything.

Hotel location is superb. Located right next to train station and 5 min stroll to the centers attractions. Hotel reception, foyer, bars and restaurants are beautiful. Superb pool, sauna, steam room and hottub We didnt use the restaurant's in the hotel but the bars are superb and priced reasonably. Staff were friendly throughout. The room was spacious enough with comfy bed. The bathroom was a bit tired and could do with a revamp. Sadly the room was quite dusty behind and on top of the cabinets in the room. The fridge was noisy and we had to turn it off overnight. Overall, we would stay at the Milner again in the future.

Our sray at the milner in york was one of our more memorable stays. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and not just the building but the staff themselves. Every single member of staff was extremely helpfull and friendly.

Apart from our room on the first night being totally unacceptable after that we had a wonderful stay. Expedia should make sure the rooms are duitable before passing to the customer. We had a disabled single room. Very sparsely furnished. No bedside table no decent hanging space poor lighting no dressing table no drawers a very dim window which didn’t open. The bathroom was unusable due to the disgusting smell. Fortunately the hotel moved us to a lovely new room with all facilities. I cannot praise them enough. They were all brilliant and understanding.

We had a lovely time and were well looked after. We were rhere for our anniversary and were given an upgrade

Sent an email to tell the management of my disappointment. Room was shocking. Tiny box room compared to what is shown on the website. I spent a lot of money to stay for two nights. Service was dreadful. I shall not be staying there again.

was excellent from start to finish. Ceser was a lovely host when i went for breakfast and very accommodating
