The staff is so friendly and helpful. The beach is beautiful, and the property as a whole is very relaxing!! The food was excellent!!. The only negative comment is the rooms. I did not like the flooring, and the bathrooms are outdated. That being said, I would still choose Grotto Bay over any other property on the Island.

Such a beautiful place, right on top of two accessible caves. Also the bus stops right in front of the hotel as well.
Splurge and get the ocean front view
You also don’t need to get the all inclusive if you’re planning to venture around the island.
Staff was helpful and lovely.

Booked this resort for the massage in the grotto which was fantastic However everything else was also wonderful

This is for the ladies of size or anyone with a handicap: this property is built on a hillside, you will be walking uphill or up stairs A-LOT. Aside from that this place was very accommodating, clean, and has everything you need in one place. We traveled around the island a lot so this place wasn’t very centrally located but we made it work. We used taxi most but also used the bus, ferry, and rental “cars”. I’m very large and fit in/on all. Super friendly people everywhere, food was great, excursions too. Clearwater beach is the best kept secret and close to the Grotto resort. Don’t let your size or handicap deter you. Just take your time and enjoy.

The property could have been cleaned, dirty dishes on walls and outside buildings. Beach area littered with towels and drink glasses. No one cleaned up the beach area all day. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The new renovations are beautiful and housekeeping was terrific.

This was our first trip to Bermuda as a family, and the property itself was clean, updated, and easy to navigate. The caves and the spa setup on property made this a very cool experience for my family! Gorgeous views! Very happy with the uniqueness of the property.
The front service desk staff, the spa, the pool bar staff and the Bellman were amazing! We did run into challenges with the service at dinner.
With teenagers aged 15, 13, and eight, it was not a pleasant experience to commit to a 2+ hour experience at dinner. The property would be drastically improved by offering a dinner buffet, similar to the way breakfast is served. Staff was pleasant for all meal service, it just took a very long time to get noticed at the initial seating, get drinks, and was a long wait in between plates.
I would also have liked to try more local dishes. Everything was very Americanized. While this is great for picky eaters, I also enjoy experiencing the local culture.

The property is not ADA compliant- impossible to navigate if you are on a wheelchair, or with bad knees requiring a cane. But for the rest of the mobile guests- not a problem.

Grotto Bay is great. It’s the only place in Bermuda where you can go cave swimming, and the resort is not too big, which gives it a personal, relaxed feel. The staff was great, all facilities and our guest room was clean, and the food is excellent. I will recommend this resort to friends and family.

This property has everything you need.Pool, beautiful beach, food and drinks. The Staff was professional, friendly and very attentive. Our room was comfortable and clean.although the bathroom was small and there was no hooks or rack to put your clothes. We would have liked other breakfast table service, besides the buffet. The pool bar closes at 5pm, the time should be extended since the walk and stairs to the main lobby bar is too far to get to from the pool. I would recommend the all inclusive since there is only 1 resturaunt near by that is walkable. Taking a taxi is expensive and the buses stop at 6pm

The hotel was ok overall however there were a few key things that I didn’t like. They didn’t have complimentary water bottles in the room, the blankets weren’t very warm, and our heat wouldn’t work. I will say that when a problem was presented to them, they attempted to rectify the issue but it could’ve been better.
Another thing I didn’t like was that the resort was so far from town, I didn’t realize that Hamilton parish is different from the town of Hamilton so there was only one walkable restaurant from the resort besides the ones within it. I would’ve preferred to be in the town so that more restaurants would’ve been in our vicinity. Nevertheless, it was a bus ride away from the town so not bad.
Last thing I’ll say is that, some of the people in Bermuda weren’t too nice, there was a mix of politeness and arrogance all around so that wasn’t very desirable.
Things I loved about the resort was that they had their own gym, beach, jacuzzi, and pool which were all 24hrs!! That was really great. Lastly, the breakfast in bed was pretty good. I had a great stay in Bermuda overall but some things could definitely have been improved.

Very mediocre experience at Grotto Bay. The rooms are outdated and a bit dingy. Our first day there, all the toilets in the resort stopped working until mid afternoon & it was pouring rain so we couldn’t even leave to go somewhere else. The bar situation is terrible, doesn’t open until 11am & there’s basically just 1 bar open at a given time.
