Grotto Bay Beach Resort

The hotel is beautifully located near the water. It appears to be well maintained. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. You do have to walk up and down a hill and steps to get around the resort. The beach is calm and clear- not a wave in sight. People travel with their kids here & they have fun cause of the floatation play area in the water. The rooms aren’t exactly sound proof so you will hear a child crying if they are next door to you. ( Happened to me) They offer bus tokens for a fee if you want to use the bus system along with a bus map and schedule. Their bus system is extremely reliable and efficient bus system. I went for carnival and majority of my expenses was for taxi service- I used the app Hitch which was reliable for me. I found the taxi fares to be extremely high. The crystal cave is super cool- however I didn’t have time to go in the water. Recommendations: -Offer free airport shuttle service since it’s literally 5 mins away - If you don’t get the all inclusive package, breakfast should at least be included

Amazing property. You wont find a more unique experience with the Cathedral Cave swimming and the Natura Spa cave experience. Quiet and beautiful beach. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had a beautiful ocean view. We really enjoyed our stay here. All the steps and walking kept us active and we worked off all of our vacation food that we consumed lol

The property was very nice. Not super new or luxe, but very” beachy”. Lots and lots of steps!!! The location was great and the people working at the resort were very nice. The room was comfortable. I felt there were a few things lacking, especially in the food choices, considering it was VERY expensive and there was very few options of a grab and go type item if you didn’t want to sit down and eat. The pool side food was good, but it was still, incredibly expensive. The meal plan seemed a bit $$$$ if you don’t eat alot. Drinks were also a bit in the pricey side. . My suggestion would be to also provide a little market for coffee & breakfast foods. ( they do have a little set up at the bar but seems makeshift) I noticed the coffee also ends at 10:00 am..no all day type coffee shop but nothing too walkable around don’t can’t run out to get anything. Coffee in room but not good. For the beach , the kayak / raft rental area was run down seemed unkept-the boat dock was too. Maybe I’d suggest more assistance on the beach with towels and umbrellas. We wrestled with the umbrella everyday . We didn’t go during the height of the season so it was quiet. I’m really happy about that part of my vacation it’s what I enjoyed the most.. no loud music or late night parties. Keep in mind water may be a bit colder since it was the end of May. All in all Bermuda is a beautiful island. I’d go back but do air bnb since I felt the price of the resort was a bit high for what we got. .

Issues: The price is the price of a luxury hotel, but the rooms and service are just average. There are diiscarded items on the grounds (see photos) Our check-in took forever, I don’t understand why the keys and paperwork are not ready and all done since we provided all the information online? They absolutely do not respond to any of the emails I had sent prior to arriving at the resort. No extra effort on my birthday, even though I notified them. TV signal is patchy and laggy No bathrobes provided in the room. Pros: Private beach, and access to a private cave for swimming is amazing.

The staff were very helpful and courteous. I liked the restaurants and the beach. You can walk to Blue Hole; and Coney island that you see from the beach (almost a mile), and I enjoyed the Rail Trail, which has an entrance before you walk to the island (about 7/10's of a mile).

Very nice rooms, nice beach area w multiple levels. Several restaurants to choose from & breakfasts were excellent. Gym was ok, a little cramped- had d to do anything with 4 people in it. The property and views ate very nice- i would definitely stay there again.

Outstanding place to stay! Great Staff; very helpful; can’t do enough for you. The Ocean is beautiful; grounds are meticulously cared for; the food was delicious; and the accommodations were excellent. It’s close to boat, St. George and Hamilton. The massage was great! The bus out front takes you anywhere you need to go and taxis are always available. We had a great time there. Camille & Stephen

We’ve been coming since 2001. We love it. Bermudans are great. Grotto bay staff is great.

The ambiance is amazing the staff were pretty friendly and great however Every thing was way over priced no water in the fridge we felt robbed
