Amazing to have a 2BD/2BA hotel so close to downtown Banff. We were within 2 minutes walking of a grocery store, liquor store, restaurants, ski shop, and coffee shop. Parking garage is attached to building so you don’t have to go outside. 2 hot tubs on the roof with amazing views!

The location of the property is fantastic. Easy walk to the entire downtown area. Two coffee shops with breakfast items, a grocery store and a liquor store within a 2 minute walk. Also, easy to leave in your vehicle and head to Sunshine or Norquay. The pictures of the room are a little deceiving. They are accurate, but taken in a way to make the rooms look bigger than they are. There are no closets and it feels more like a hotel room than your typical two bedroom VRBO. It had some dishes and cooking pans, etc., but you shouldn't plan on making complex meals. They do supply coffee filters, coffee, tea, salt, pepper and an oil (not sure what kind). The parking garage next door was convenient, but it is $30 per day and only allows one entry/exit. You cannot leave and come back multiple times per day without paying the hourly rate. Their system was broken 5 out of the 7 days. We were told there was free parking at the train station but we never used it. Overall, the place is clean, well maintained, with relatively new furnishings, etc. I would stay there again if we returned to Banff.

This property was clean, efficient and in a VERY good location. The unit is VERY small! There is NO closet, no room for a suitcase in the bedroom and only ONE drawer in the entire apartment. Also, the parking is VERY convenient BUT there is a $30 per day charge. Just know in advance what you are getting.

My friends and I booked a 2 bedroom room that was advertised for 6 people total (2 beds & 1 sofa bed). The dishes all had a film on them upon touch (clearly not cleaned properly), but otherwise the room was nice and amenities were good too. When it came time to sleep it was a different story. We pulled out the sofa bed for our 5th guest and were astonished at what we saw. There were MUTIPLE hairs all over the mattress, I’m talking of all colours and sizes (obviously accumulated over time from multiple people) all over the mattress and the biggest stain on the mattress as well. It was absolutely disgusting and looked like it has never been cleaned never mind vacuumed. On top of that, the sheets for the sofa bed were also dirty and there was only a duvet cover and pillow with no case or sheets over it. I couldn’t believe how unsanitary it was. Our friend slept on the couch using the hot tub towels as a blanket as that felt like a cleaner option than the sofabed inside. After seeing the state of that bed, it made me question the cleanliness of the other rooms too and I honestly felt gross sleeping in my seemingly clean bed. If we had 2 guests that had to use that sofabed we honestly would have had to change hotels. I don’t know why Basecamp advertises that this room sleeps 6 when the sofabed is in that state. It is very disappointing considering the cost of the room. I’ve stayed at Basecamp resorts in Canmore several times and I know they have better standards than this

Overall we were happy with our Christmas stay at Basecamp Suites. Location is wonderful. Honestly you'd have a hard time beating it. It's next to the IGA and only a few minutes to walk to the meeting points for nearly all major tour companies (the high school and the train station). The hot tub was AMAZING and we were surprised to find that most nights we had it to ourselves. We definitely weren't expecting that kind of privacy on the week of Christmas. There were a few downsides - the beds were comfortable but something about the mattress was really hot. It was nearly like it was retaining body heat? It got to the point where my son had to sleep with the windows open (in December!) to cool down. They value privacy. We didn't really speak to anyone much during our visit. It's all remote check in, staff are there but are inside a separate glassed off room. It's not a bad thing necessarily but it definitely felt a little impersonal at times. When we did need assistance, staff were available pretty promptly by phone. Probably the biggest downside is that it is compact to the point of cramped at times. No bench space for makeup or toiletries much. Nowhere to keep luggage. With a whole family in the two bedroom apartment we were definitely tripping over things a bit. We had a great stay but there may be better options for the price. I'd still be open to staying elsewhere next time.

We had a family night out to Banff. Location was great. Unfortunately no parking but there is a Parkade quite literally attached to the building. Out unit was great for our family, love the bedrooms and the beds were comfortable. It would definitely be a good set up for a longer stay. I think a really good clean/upkeep check is necessary; definitely mildewing smell and one of the bathrooms smelt like old water or something super stale. They also have a warning about a cleaning fee if you don’t clean prior to leaving. I understand turning over rooms in a timely fashion but that’s hotel’s responsibility not the guests.
